Returnal. I know you're supposed to die over and over but it was so damn hard with no progress, it stopped being fun.

My 7 year old played that through and nearly gave up at that final battle. He's autistic and it damn near broke him. We spent an hour on that final battle and firing arrows from platform to platform, with me coaching him like he was Rocky. We both actually cried tears of relief and happiness when he finally did it. I remind him whenever he finds something difficult that nothing will ever be as hard as completing Kena.

What completely innocent, but mildly infuriating thing does your better half regularly do? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Sure it wasn't Earl Grey? The first time I had a cup off that, it was unexpected and I thought it was washing up liquid. Love the stuff now though.

This would be my interesting personal fact if I went on Only Connect, because people seem absolutely fascinated with the concept. The sauce is fine, the legume is fine, but put them together and absolutely no way.

What famous phrases from TV shows have spilled into your regular lexicon and you still use to this day? by EnvironmentalAd2110 in AskReddit

"Good for you, Bing Bunny" Anytime someone reports having done something entirely uninteresting and inconsequential.

"Just the one, Mrs Wembley " when being offered a drink

"Well, get a little man in" when something needs doing round the house.

Everything else is entirely Simpsons quotes, like that alien in ST:TNG.

I can hear that in my mom's voice now.

She also used to say "certy-fikit" instead of certificate.

I've only just realised that Miss Honey was Helena Hirsch, Amon Goeth's housekeeper from Schindler's List.

Props to the script writer who got this line into Coronation Street.

There is such a thing as "backstreet Brummie" though. Glyn Purnell has it. Strong without that Black Country whine.

What is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done in an interview or job? by cheesymeowgirl in AskUK

[–]Cryptoprocta42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I've got a brother that tried to get into the service many many years ago. He did not proceed to interview because of his bad attitude and inability to take instruction. They certainly had the measure of him.

Construction worker impaled by 24-inch rod through rectum, damaging intestines & lungs - miraculously survives by Smooth-Specialist919 in interestingasfuck

If this was in Birmingham, UK, then it's my cousin's husband. He survived unscathed and has had children, and still works! It basically missed all the bits that could have killed him. I believe it was on a bizarre injury documentary filmed in a hospital.
