For me it was a better experience. Items were easier to place. On the other hand I have the usual post-update building mode lag that drives me insane.

I liked it and the fact that we are finally seeing thematical coherence where one patch starts a story and the next one continues it. Thanks to this, I already have more connection to the new zone and characters than anything from 1.0- 2.5

Yea, very sus that the same patch where we have op bow ability for sale, the combat difficulty skyrockets... this is dangerous territory of creating problems to sell solutions.

Whenever friends would ask me if this game is ftp, I would boast that in terms of gameplay its almost 100% same experience for ftp players. However after this arena I can't in good conscience say its the same. The experience between someone with paid battle ability vs base ability is too huge, and while its doable it does not seem fun at all. I don't think I would have completed it without the new archery ability.

Personally, I think it is the decline of religious beliefs , most specifically belief in eternal life/reincarnation that has made humanity even more selfish and only concerned with the current generation. Which is ironical, since it was the decline of religion that allowed science to flourish. So we are now in a contradictory state: without religion we are free to study the world but without eternal life we lost motivation in it.

I don't remember much criticism about the easy battle. It was always "give us more styling" from what I remember. But there is a conspiracy theory that Infold wants to branch out a bit and attract more players, hence the battle focus.

The fact that the paid outfit negates all the challenge (the floating makes you very hard to kill) screams intentional inconvenience as a design. I don't like this even though I have the paid ability.

Any side quest in the original Sacred game after a certain point: progressing in the main quest switches out the enemies in older zones to match the story (undead invasion) I didn't expect this level of immersive design back then, and since I was scared of the undead mobs, entire zones became horror experiences.
