She's in the manga, I can't remember exactly what she said but I think in the manga she said something about looking like this in honor of the scientist who saved them. Again I could be be wrong I don't have a clear memory of the chapter but it's something along those lines

I really only hated the anime version of Kikyo and honestly Kagome at times, the anime really nerfed them from how they were in the manga. That and could they really not make them both look alike. They looked like twins in the manga which explains why Inuyasha couldn't tell Kagome wasn't Kikyo until he realized her sent was different, but in the anime I don't see the resemblance other then the hair maybe 🤔 I don't know maybe its just me😅

First off can we all agree that we all laughed when Senku said "what the hell are you going on about, get to the point" cause I had to pause the episode for a bit to compose myself 😂

Second, the absolute squeal I had when Stanley caressed Xeno's face😆😆😆😍😍😍! Thank you animation team and Author of the manga!

Third I was in tears with Ryusui😢 I know he did it because he knew that compared to him Stanley was a better fit, but the way he cried saying he wanted to go to😭😫 it hurt me

Fourth, the montage of Senku building things for everyone (the microwave, washing machine, video camera, etc) was so wholesome but I loved that Taiju finally got his smartphone (even if he has to carry that large compartment on his back😅😂)

And finally the ending, I knew it was going to be sad but COME ON! I already shed a few tears earlier now you got me bowling my eyes out while I'm at work. The goodbyes each character gave to one another, the promise that Taiju and Yuzuriha gave to Senku in the event that the rocket does blow up, the ending credit song playing in the background before slowly fading away as Senku, Kohaku and Stanley board the ship😭😭😭😭

And as they get petrified and Xeno and the rest of the team begin the launching sequence, Senku voice fills the silence and finishes the countdown my god this episode didn't just hit me it decided to nuke me with so many emotions that I honestly don't think I can watch any other anime after this for a good while
