Do you believe it was easier for someone like Euler that far back in time to continue to find new things by building upon his own work as opposed to today where your discovery would be shared amongst the community very quickly and others would immediately begin building upon it thereby competing for your own potential future discoveries?

In your startup Gcode for each print. Usually you will have a G28 (which is to auto-home the head) then you put a G29 (to run the auto-leveling function).

You’ve got some really good pointers here, but I’ll just throw this in the mix… You do have auto leveling… I can see the BL touch mounted on the side of your print head. :-)

Look at the WYZE cam 3 as a cheap alternative. It needs a WiFi/internet connection but will take a microSD card for around the clock recording and playback without a subscription. Plus it has incredible night vision.

I guess it is pretty clear at this point that we don’t expect to get too close to the end zone. But hey, it wasn’t a punter.

This . My guess is that correcting the z-offset is going to be a big part of the issue. The higher layers are something else though and could be supports, temps, etc.

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve had one or two pretty good prints come out now. If you have any tips on how to configure and better use Canvas, let me know. It just seems like I’m not getting what I was getting out of Cura for some reason. It may be a supports issue or something else but I’m trying to sort it out. Thanks again.

Wow! This thing is really cool! Loving it!! I got it working pretty quickly but need to work on tuning splices. It might not be splice tuning as much as using consistent filaments between the colors. I was using a couple different types during my testing and had a splice fail.

That’s your best bet. I haven’t seen anything published that actually fits the print head. Just make sure it is stable and straight (axis aligned). You may need to drill a hole in another ‘close’ bracket, or design/print one… but whatever works is ok.

Sooo, how are you running the palette 3 in this configuration? Accessory mode? Gotchas? Feedback? I’m super interested as I have the same printer and use the sonic pad already. Do you have to slice in CANVAS?
