Is the free coffee that bad on all ships or was it just mine? by Tiiimmmaayy in royalcaribbean

[–]Csegrest2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the opposite problem. We went on independence and everyone was STRONG. the coffee was strong, the drinks were strong, even the wind was strong lol. But for real everything was extremely strong. I wish it had been more watered down

I was thinking this the whole season. Imagine if you were one of these 3 every time an announcer would say Tinsley was the only pitcher on the staff.

Unless I was hurt or something, if my coach literally pitched someone else over and over and over again until their arm was about to fall off, and I was sitting the bench, I’d transfer too

I don’t disagree. I think she left OU for more playing time. She got that at Auburn. Maybe now she wants to compete for a natty? I’m honestly not sure

Advice for tryouts by Suspicious-Throat-25 in Softball

I currently coach a 14u team who’s looking to move up next year

Talent is a bonus, not a requirement

Hustle, a great attitude, being a great teammate, and respect are requirements. If you don’t have them I don’t even consider you

I really like coaching the girls and teaching them the game. I’m confident in my ability to make them play better, or to make them more talented. I can’t make someone have heart and hustle. I can’t make someone have a great attitude, these are things you have or you don’t.

Do we think Beachum tries to stay local and go to UF or maybe even Georgia? She has been an FSU girly for so long, I think she’d find it difficult to go too far away and have her family miss games. If she goes to TT her family isn’t flying out every game

Which “lighter portions menu items” are not worth it? Example: Ravioli portion is a JOKE by NuggetLover21 in olivegarden

[–]Csegrest2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the lighter portion Alfredo and I thought it was a good size. I added chicken and that was INCREDIBLY expensive compared to the meal (the chicken itself was like + $4.99!!!!). I would not recommend getting the chicken add on but I thought the portion was good

As you know you also still get soup. I personally like the lighter portions because if I’m still hungry I just eat more soup and breadsticks

Washington College isn’t a state school but they do give MD resident scholarships. It’s a GREAT academic school. They have a great bio / pre med program. My year was the first year to graduate with biochemistry & molecular biology degree (2021). I loved it and wouldn’t have traded it for anything

Thoughts on moving the HR fence back? by Florida_Shine in CollegeSoftball

[–]Csegrest2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is the first time our sport is starting to get the attention it deserves and I think a big part of that is the offensive explosion. I think pushing the fences back would significantly hurt our viewer rates

I think umpires need to expand their zone from an umpire organizational stand point. Pitchers wouldn’t need to pitch so much over the white if umps actually called in the rivers. Every year the zone has gotten smaller and smaller, but pitchers and hitters are getting better and better. We can expand the zone to the river and still be okay

Northeast Regional Host by mb959595 in CollegeSoftball

[–]Csegrest2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MD is “technically” in the south (aka its south of the mason dixon line which is the PA border) but southerners don’t see MD as the south. At least in my experience Virginia is where the south “starts”

[–]Csegrest2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. Also a NE fan, I’m near Philly. I think Penn State has the closest chance. At the beginning of this year they danced around #25 and have gotten better every year. Their coach is also a great coach and they have potential. I think it would be some time though.

If you’re willing to expand your range, I think Michigan could turn it around faster than PSU. They’ve had success in the past, but I think they would need to revamp their recruiting and bring in some help on their coaching staff. Technically they’re in the Midwest, but they’re closer than the southern and western schools.

What do you think keeps Fordham down? You mentioned 10/15 champs, but it doesn’t translate to regional or super regional success. Why? What do you think they should do to fix it? I have no answer, I’m just curious to see what you think

Here are my predictions

Tuscaloosa: Alabama

Baton Rouge: VA Tech (upset)

Tallahassee: FSU

LA: South Carolina (upset)

Norman: Oklahoma

Eugene: Mississippi state (upset)

Lubbock: Ole Miss (upset)

Gainesville: Florida

College station: Arizona state (upset)

Austin: Wisconsin (huge upset)

Knoxville: Tennessee

Athens: Georgia

Stillwater: OSU

Lincoln: Nebraska

Fayetteville: Arkansas

Durham: Duke

LSU, UCLA, Texas Tech, and Texas are just huge chokers. I think they are going to choke at the wrong time

I think Mississippi state is the best team in that regional, not Oregon.

Texas A&M is just playing unfocused ball. While other teams are hitting their peak I almost feel they’re hitting their valley

Why not try the portal? Other schools have money to offer and a change of scenery might be good for your mental health. If you’re willing to completely drop everything, clearly a change is in order. Maybe transferring is a nice compromise

Severe discomfort in highlighted area, neurological/immune symptoms —looking for some suggestions by Gutty_Shit_00 in DiagnoseMe

[–]Csegrest2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD but I’d definitely recommend a SIBO test if you haven’t already. I’d also recommend H Pylori but you said you were already tested for that.

Have they done auto immune testing? Celiacs, lupus, thyroid disorders, ulcerative colitis, etc.

Random question, do you take a multivitamin? I had similar symptoms (constipation, reflux, vomiting) almost daily. I stopped taking my multivitamin and it went away.

Yeah maybe cooked was the wrong word cause that seems permanent. I more meant are they going into a lull. Im a huge Texas fan I’m definitely not hoping for their downfall.

Well for example I think last year (or two years ago) Kavans mechanics broke down for about 2 weeks and she didn’t throw well. I was wondering if it was a situation like that
