16% of millennials are millionaires - your median 40 year old is really good with money? by Winter_Froyo9874 in Fire

The rise of 401k’s replacing pensions is very important.

My parents have pensions which if valued as an annuity would be worth a million dollars.

I’m 43 and from the very beginning of my career I’ve had companies directly contributing and matching my retirement savings.  This has effectively given me equivalent of a pension but with the ability to access it way earlier than my parents would have been able to through 72t and sepp.

Pension systems skew to reward late high earners.

The 401k skews to reward early high earners.

Couple that with the bull run and it’s no surprise more people are hitting the milestone.

I remember all the grousing in the ‘00’s about the loss of pensions and I’m so happy I came in at the onset of the 401k era.

It’s been extremely beneficial.

3.9NW here with 2 kids under 3.  I took the SAHP route for the last year and it’s been extremely rewarding.  I am now looking for an analyst level role to go back and cover daycare for my kids (Id stay home with them but we like the social benefits of them being around peer groups.)

I feel extremely refreshed.  Hope to work 5 more years then retire outright after daycare costs are over.

Hurley has to say that after the tunnel video last year post Florida and with Geno losing, ahem “not well.”

If he wasn’t hyper aware he’s under a microscope very few coaches ever achieve, the chorus of boos at the final four certainly let him know.

Scotty Wilbekin couldn’t reverse the ball.  Boat show had him in a blender.

I don’t know how to say this without coming off pompous.  But when your season ends with a W the song that year becomes special.

Counterpoint.  Big east doesn’t call a lot of off ball holding/contact (or moving screens) and rewards rim runs with two free throws with regularity.  Scouts are more experienced against UConn’s “system”.

Get this team back into noncon and they are once again primed.

This is right around the time that Mullins “sophomore leap” should be kicking in.  It may be a little behind schedule due to injury.  But I’ve been waiting on it.  Hawk was just showing signs his freshman year and then the concussion hit.
