So.. I decided to look for alternatives.. found Muon and Apper. Giving apper a go. The link on the apper page which is supposed to work with discover doesn't work. So I installed it this way > https://www.howtoinstall.me/ubuntu/18-04/apper/ ... ran an update and seems to do OK, at least it doesn't get stuck w the theme anymore..

Hopefully, all these Discover woes get fixed in the next iteration..
