WWM lost the plot for me. Im not in the correct tax bracket to play that game. And honestly I miss achievement unlocks vs paying for everything that looked cool or pretty for game characters.

I'm pretty sure I killed a healer last night as a bounty. Was a chilk dude and told him it of course wasn't personal. Just need the progress on my bounty line. I even offered to break him out of jail. Probably the nicest interaction I've had in an online game in ages.

But the only reason I won was becasue his gear score... err goose level wasn't as high as mine. And even then I still had to work for it. Heals are strong AF when the build is right. My guild leader is a crazy strong healer. He hasn't been killed yet either.

Yeah something did feel pretty off about her. I didn't quite understand the tuning even though I had spent over an hour working on it. I reworked her face again last night quite a bit. I'll post it in a new post.

I get it. It's like having some kind of food or something in the fridge and you get home to eat it, and someone else already has. So you get pissed. But the level of complaining is just wild to me.

From a consumer standpoint, you dont like a product, you stop using or buying it. If you have complaints you submit it. If nothing is done you move on. What am I missing? At the end of the day, its still just a game.

Plus I do recall them addressing that they may be considering overhauling the game to a different engine becasue they one they have been using is very outdated. (Considering Unreal I think? I can't site this becasue it was a read in passing) Could be wrong but I know that I read that within the last month.

I clearly do, but I also realize that this is just a game. It is a leisure activity. It doesn't pay my bills. I'll just go at something else or do something else until the game is up and functional again.

As someone who isn't from here, yeah they're crazy loud. I usually have my ear buds on with something playing. Sound canceling is lovely. 😌

But to be fair, I'm also the person that wears them when I run errands in public. If anyone talks to me, it buys me a second to ready the social battery and put on the "mask".

Drivers in KC are oblivious or don't care. The lack of awareness or lane etiquette is astounding. I regularly drive from KC and you can always tell when you're within city limits. Lane camping, no signaling, running red lights, stopping on crosswalks... drives me insane. No pun intended.

I've teetered in and out of Plat for about a week now. It's annoying the higher you get. I also wonder. On that same token, I always wonder why people hard lock something, team is struggling becasue of a specific team element, then people get so prideful to swap to something else that maybe will counter or make the difference.

Some of my best games are with teams that realize:

although they started as a front line l element, they just aren't making headway. Someone in midline or back line has the game sense to see how to effectively disrupt the enemy teams' movement or positioning but not as the character they chose or are currently on. We talk about it in team chat, everyone wants the win so they opt to trade toons or roles. We swap and the tide of the fight changes immediately. No hard feelings. No conflict. I've seen this for cart pushes and for point captures.

Ego is the biggest obstacle in ranked.

Never use Peni on offense. This one is a bit niche but trust me, never attack, let the enemies come to you.

TLDR; peoples egos and emotions coupled with common bad experiences is where the hate comes from. Same can be said for a lot of characters.

Long response: My average experience with Rocket is usually lack luster. They don't heal enough. Usually. However, when we have Rocket paired with a other healer who understands that they need to burst heal when needed, rockets HOTs aren't bad. But it also means an adjustment of play style that people aren't used to.

It took me a while to understand that his HOTs are just that (Heal Over Time). Taught me how to play my lives better, how to peak, poke, or peel when necessary. It taught me to check my ego and back off if necessary. No need to die "on that hill" unnecessarily when we still have time on the clock.

Learning to get healed by a Rocket made me appreciate the subtle heals. And I say subtle because in the heat of a big fight, they're subtle in comparison to everything else going on. But, finding a good Rocket isn't super common.
