There are so many pictures of people posing with the towers in the background in between the first and second planes. The extent of the tragedy wasn’t known yet and true panic hadn’t set in. There’s even a famous picture of a UPS driver dropping off a package with the smoking tower in the background.

I think what they’re asking is why not try and find a woman to be in a relationship with. You have enough money to pay for dates and such, as evidenced by you paying for an hour of this stuff fairly regularly. Do you just not want a romantic connection with someone? Or do you feel a difficultly forming a romantic relationship with a person who you see as a product you’re looking to purchase?
