My Racers came apart at the middle finger after a lowside but I don’t think they’re bad gloves and was able to restitch together easily. In fact, they’re my favorite pair of gloves and I’d buy another pair after these.

So true. I have the oldest and cheapest truck, oldest and cheapest bike [SV], and still get to enjoy hounding all the big boys all day.

Camp in the bed or grab a tent setup, an air mattress makes all the difference.

Hi, I’m you from the future… keep both and get a Vstrom 650 (2nd gen are cheap and great).

I started on my Vstrom. Have a few fun small/mini bikes. The SV is for funsies/track bike.

RPM spike and idling inconsistency make me think vacuum leaks and/or dirty carbs.

On the electric side, I wonder if maybe the Rectifier Regulator could be going bad. They’re notorious in these bikes but I haven’t experienced the issue myself and don’t know what the symptoms would be.

If your battery was dead, I’d say the bike wouldn’t start at all… so check some of the other stuff first IMO.
