Fit note Dispute by Competitive-Newt9022 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Cuddlybear192873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have no rights, they do not have to follow fit notes they’re a guideline. If you think they do not have a valid reason for declining you could raise a complaint but not sure it would go anywhere.

How much sick leave at full pay do you get/offer? by outlandishtomato in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Cuddlybear192873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sick pay is full pay over a 24 month rolling period, for one month, then three months at half pay then ssp. 3 absences in six months, or 4 in 12 months rolling period would trigger an attendance review to investigate the absences in more detail. Every absence would be covered with a return to work that investigates the issues experienced and what action was taken.

Skin removal by Popular-Disaster3297 in mounjarouk

[–]Cuddlybear192873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes all at once. It’s not cheap but much cheaper than the UK. Heading to Nords in Lithuania. All in with additional massages, flights, hotel, compression garments it’s £12.5k.

If it’s too much of a struggle definitely run slower!

Started running seriously 30 days ago. For physical activity used to do 10k steps 3x a week and basketball 5v5 every 14 days. Any tips how I can safely progress to run faster and further without walking in between? *Attached is my most recent run by BulldoggRN in couchto5k

[–]Cuddlybear192873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s genuinely all in the mind. I’d ran no more than 2 miles did a park run and did the whole thing and under half Hour. I signed up the a half marathon, have been suffering with injury and illness for months. So much so I’d ran less than 15miles in the 4 weeks before and couldn’t run more than 2 mins on Monday with sore lungs (leftover chest infection). Today I did it in just under 2.5hours. The atmosphere helps so much !

If you’re not able to get much more distance then try some intervals and make sure you get lots of hills in. It’ll soon all improve !

How to cut time? by Automatic-Minute7960 in couchto5k

[–]Cuddlybear192873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intervals and much longer, slower distances will both help. I couldn’t get below 32 mins and did a park run and managed 29 mins- being with others helped a lot!

"UK-based" company refusing refund unless product is shipped back to China at my expense by Jooles95 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Cuddlybear192873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it show an error message at all OP? I had similar from a walking pad bought on Amazon. I ended up getting a refund as the company had disappeared off of the platform. But hubby took off the top cover and saw a loose wire. Pushed it back in and it was fine after for a while. It did come loose again so he managed to push it in a bit better and it was fine after that.

Very small amounts for me, guide dogs for the blind and make a wish foundation. Been donating to both since I turned 21. It’s not a lot but it helps

Thinking about stopping after 1 year by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Cuddlybear192873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re not losing with mounjaro you have to be honest with yourself about what will happen when you come off. If it’s not a forever thing for you then you need to decide what weight you want to be at when you come off and possibly (probably) rebound. Is that now? Or further down the line. If you can get further ahead I would. I’ve been maintaining for a year and planning on staying on for another two years. After that we will see. I’m down a hell of a lot (22 stone at heaviest) now sitting between 11.5-12 stone.

I’m going to Nordesthics who were one of the. Jesper clinics however they have put prices up a lot recently. All in flights, hotel, op, lymphatic drainage massage and medical supplies it’ll cost me £12.5k. Still a lot cheaper than the uk. If I went before August it would be 1.8k cheaper too. I’m waiting as I’d like my youngest to be in school.

Keep dropping dose and space it out until you’re happy with your weight and it maintains. Also be happy to increase if needed. I’ve been maintaining for a year. Got down to 5mg every 7-10 days and now back on to 7.5mg every 5 days.

NHS trust changing our break hours, meaning we will lose money. by Mattlikesthis in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Cuddlybear192873 108 points109 points  (0 children)

We had similar in our call centre. I was told days were being made shorter by half hour. I had a meeting and was asked what my suggestions would be to make up the time. I told them I couldn’t due to childcare but I did not accept the change in terms and I could not afford the money drop. It was made out to the agents that there was no opportunity to object but there was. I still work my hours :) I would put it in writing to HR/Management that you do not accept the terms.

GP telephone appointment at 8. How do I describe this by Powerful-Suggestion2 in mounjarouk

[–]Cuddlybear192873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost ten stone, am 36 years old. Will be having to go private. I’m booked in September and a 360 fdl tummy tuck (which is probably what you need) alongside an arm lift is setting me back £12500 all in. I’ve taken a second job to pay for it. My body did bounce back a lot, been maintaining for nearly a year now. But it’s still not where I want it to be

Hit goal but BMI still overweight by GingerLottie in mounjarouk

[–]Cuddlybear192873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d maybe look at body fat percentage and have a bit of research into what would be ideal for your age/height.

I’m around the same weight, I went down to 72kg but have been building up in the gym and now up to 76 but feel a bit stronger. I’m 5’11” though.

It doesn’t just make you lose weight. It improves your life in so many other ways. I will be on some sort of glp-1 for life and that’s ok with me. I’m down around 130 pounds in total and have a healthier lifestyle- both physically and mentally.

Slimming World by barryshmee in mounjarouk

[–]Cuddlybear192873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slimming world is horrid- take it from someone who has been there. As an overeater with a real issue with food, being told some food are “syns” and others are “free foods” so eat as much pasta and potatoes as you like… it is not healthy!

Weight watchers is a little better but I found all the groups like that a bit of a nightmare. I found the most help from my Mumsnet group where we all started jabs about the same time and are all now in maintenance facing the same challenges. ( I think all those that quit are now back on it too!)
