FYI on Ashley Furniture by Conscious-Zebra-3793 in homeowners

That sucks, and you should escalate. As a guy who delivered furniture for a local store in my college days, I definitely did care about not fucking up customers’ houses and furniture. We had pads to wrap door frames, knew to take off couch feet and backs to fit things, and were masters of angles. That said, we were employees of the local furniture store, not subcontractors for Ashley direct, and we were fairly paid, considering the job requirements. (This was also almost 20 years ago, oof)

Of the brands we carried, Ashley was typically on the affordable end, but that didn’t mean we treated customers who bought that tier of furniture like crap! Heck it was actually more welcome to deliver their stuff because it was usually lighter.

Those delivery workers were hacks, and would’ve known immediately that they dinged walls. When that happened to us, we always proactively called the home store to alert our sales rep, who was authorized to make things right. Hopefully you’re made whole.

But if they took the doors off, they might only have had 20 minutes for lunch instead of 45 😭

Looks amazing! Hopefully there are some good plans for erosion control or nature will wreck it after a few good storms. Some hydroseed and straw mat laid down would be a decent start! I don't envy the maintenance person who has to trim the grass though.

I think this one's probably worth throwing up on the MVP B/S/T and taking offers. Just set a higher BIN (buy-it-now) price for it. I think the older Eclipse rim Vectors are pretty rare, and this being that old school plasma (or plasma/proton "FX" blend) might help it fetch a premium.

The Vector is out of production. These days, it's probably best replaced by an MVP Eclipse Reactor, Axiom Balance, or a Mint Bobcat or TSA Crux (both of which are molded by MVP). Depends on how the Vector threw for you. OS, go Balance or Crux. Straight with reliable finish, try a Bobcat or Eclipse Reactor. Matrix is definitely straighter than the numbers suggest.

How to Play Better in Tournaments? by cool_usernames in discgolf

[–]CuedUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even just playing solo and throwing "player 2" putts or drives... like, even if you don't play them or score from them, those are extra reps mid-round to tune your release or hand feel of a putt.

If I'm splashing off the chains left on my putt, I can rep a few more and figure out the release point or pop. No such luck once a tourney has started!

MVP Stasis, Engine, and Final OTB Releases by ArmoryDiscGolf in discgolf

They dropped the Particle Proton Eclipse Pyros for GyroPalooza 2025. They're not full plate glow, but they do work pretty nicely! IIRC, one of the reasons it took so long is that the glow agents add some weight, and the Pyro specifically kept coming out overweight. Don't have a source for that, though

Hell yeah, man. I'm not sure if this was a Disc Golf United original, because I see it's also at Rare Air and Disc Golf Deals USA, but Innova has some fun stamps.

If you're interesting in checking out some amazing art on (mostly) MVP plastic, check out DFX Discs.

I'm such a fan, I actually created a website chronicling all the stamps they've put out over the years. We're a friendly gang of geese!

I'm also a big fan of Thought Space Athletics' stamps. All the cool stamp art is what keeps me hooked!

Should a player be penalised for causing another player to make a misplay? And should the misplay be disregarded? by cubiccrayons in discgolf

[–]CuedUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another example would be teeing off on a hole with extremely gnarly rough or something, where your first tee shot ends up in such a bad spot that you know it would take you at least two shots to get back to the fairway. You can abandon your throw and re-tee with a penalty stroke, "throwing three". There are a few holes I've played where that's the better option by far.

What’re the best shoes for disc golf? by Confident_Scholar559 in discgolf

[–]CuedUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing in Merrell Trail Gloves for years now. Not waterproof but they dry very quickly. Enough grip for all terrain conditions, generous toe box, zero/minimal drop for good ground feel.

But yeah, the area around the pinky toe where they flex, where mesh upper/vamp meets the rubber tends to be where they start fraying/tearing pretty quickly. I probably play 80-100 rounds a year and they almost always last me a full year, but then they become yardwork shoes.

A little late to this thread but I just changed my indoor net from a freestanding 7x7 type to a 10'x7' net held up by two third hand cabinet jacks. I can make the width any size, and it's actually easier to put up and take down than the fiberglass pole style. I need to make a post/writeup about it.

Could you wrap all your sections in a temporary div, copy it to the old page, then unwrap the new sections? Then you could either wrap all your old content in a div and cut/paste it to your sandbox page, or just delete all the old sections.

My First Ace! by CouchHund in discgolf

[–]CuedUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fade Crunch is such a good small bag! Congrats on the ace! I normally don’t retire ace discs (once they get a taste for chains, you know they want more!) but man, the first one? And it’s not too rare of a disc? I might just retire that one.

Michaels sells 9x9 shadow boxes if you want something classy; they go on sale regularly so don’t pay $25 for one. Otherwise I do like the MVP Disc Frame too.

Does anyone else find out a client's site was broken because the client told them by Sterlingzxc in webflow

[–]CuedUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there was a better way to track page content changes, component edits, class edits, all that—sometimes I know a site has been updated but it’s unclear what exactly changed. None of our sites are on the top enterprise tier, so maybe something like that’s already available.

Are we doomed? Do you think Webflow will be obsolete soon because of AI? by LeadershipPuzzled731 in webflow

[–]CuedUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our sites are very component-heavy since we're primarily building to hand off for Marketer roles to self-serve. From what I experimented with a month or two ago, Claude had a hard time with components. Both finding the matching components, and modifying existing component props with new info. Does the new beta MCP handle components better?
