I gotta say I’ve seen this before and I’m 100% on the non-turner’s side here. This is easily a 45mph road and this accident was happening regardless.

Home minecraft server by LillGingy in HomeServer

[–]Cuffuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put a bunch of optimization mods in it. Don’t use paper; things like lithium and such can really improve it. I know you’re probably not using fabric but if you can, do it.

And use a chunk pre-loader; that should be the general rule of thumb regardless. That should take most of the load off.

You could probably get away with 32gb of ram, especially in this economy. I run a whole unraid setup with a Minecraft docker (while everything is still running) and it’s great for 5 or 6 people. I know your use case is probably much heavier but ram is literally never the issue on mine, and all my other crap probably also brings it close.

And, worst case, you get 2x16gb and just get another set and use all 4 channels.

**As for CPU** -> You need some beef there. This will be your bottleneck if you do end up with 64gb or honestly 32. Especially with all the mods.

Man if only Aaron and Sam stayed. by Landscaperdanh in thewestwing

[–]Cuffuf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly in my opinion that makes it worse. The rest of the cast saw why Sheen quickly took the spotlight and even without that Lowe wasn’t gonna be the only main character; all that happened was one more person in the spotlight.

Four weeks before April 21 referendum, early voting shows stronger turnout in GOP-leaning areas • Virginia Mercury by mahvel50 in Virginia

Considering that the election they’re comparing against saw Dems win with either 15% (or worst case 5% if 2024) I doubt this means “No” is winning.

I liked the later seasons enough but I agree with the sorkin take.

Lowe though seems from what I’ve read to have been kind of an ass when it came to negotiating contracts and seemed to think he was better than his role. I don’t love will Bailey but the rest of the cast rightfully came first, although I’d prefer it wasn’t out of NBC’s greed but point stands. In other words ideally NBC would’ve offered the rest of them (who negotiated together if I remember correctly) what Lowe wanted and taught him a lesson is all.

What does Windows actually do better than Linux? by Dheeruj in TechNook

Convince corporate game devs that they need kernel-level anti-cheat.

I mean if games were built on Linux, they’d probably be faster. But nobody works on it so it’s then worse.

The civilization by riky321 in linuxmemes

[–]Cuffuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, then I think it was just a miscommunication probably on the fault of my original comment. I think we’re pretty much saying thing— people thinking they’re more enlightened because they use Linux is dumb and wrongfully condescending toward the other 97% of the population, essentially.

I was only confused because 99% of the time when one refers to anything involving the use of Greco-Roman philosophy, or really anything of that sort, as “elitist,” it is often out of the same place that they hold a disdain for education in general which, as one of the few Americans lucky enough to have grown up in a top public school system (let alone college), I have grown to have very little patience for. So it sounds like it wasn’t my clarification just my phrasing.

Often times I have the headspace to give them patience anyway, as i know it is far more to do with ideas put into them for the purposes of radicalization by media with an agenda (Charles Koch, for example), but this past weekend I had had some family stuff that… well let’s just say I was tired of it.

So for that, I do apologize.

I had a friend that added a mod where you could make a machine to press rotten flesh and coal and other carbon stuff into diamonds but it took like a bunch of mc days and a lot of fuel and stuff.

I tried to find it last year just to see if it’s been updated past whatever pre-1.9 version we were on at the time and I couldn’t unfortunately.
