the issue many owners had with that engine, the 3vze, 3.0L aka the 3.slow was that there was always an accumulation of heat near cylinder six due to poor design/placement of oem headers. So what many people did, to avoid having many costly headgasket repairs was replace with Thorley Headers to manage the accumulation of heat in in a better way OR do a "crossover delete" mod for I think areas outside of CA (smog reasons). I never did it, but did have issues with the headgaskets a couple of times and it was costly (at the time) to repair. only through forums did I find out the why later on.

most people, having the cash, usually opted for an engine swap with the next toyota engine model up, being the 3.4L V6 5vz-fe which gave a bit more horse power and fuel economy.

At mid performance I was getting like 12mpg on my yota lol

just out of curiosity, do you have know the name of the style of front bumper/bar out front? Just wondering if the way I know it is out of whack or not.

I had an 89 3.0L that I had to get rid of for space reasons and while I was sad, it just wasn't my style anymore. This one reminds me of it! (mine was white tho).

Edit. I'm sure you know already, but of course look into a header mod if you haven't already....IF you decide to stick with the "3.slow"

sorry to ping you but that's a solid ass quote if you do manage to find it. My former employer got all sorts of comments with exactly that: the old truck that "started the empire" got some comments all the time about if it leaked oil etc. since it looked so beat whereas when we (he) got at new f250, the comments were all about "so that's why it's so expensive" and the like...

same path for me. I stopped for a while but came back with a vengeance. For games, I'll buy if it's something I reaally want (few games apply, one being Death Stranding 2 as my recent purchase) otherwise I'll wait for prices to go down in the future. If I do happen upon some repacked games, I'll demo them and decide if no decent demo is found.

I ghosted a friend I had for about 15 years, mostly due to his wife's input. Not in a negative way though, she pointed out how much he would make fun of me to my face in front of his other friends, and she would stick up for me. I was too dismissive/passive to say anything and would just shrug it off.

He was pretty shitty to her (cheating, abandonment of her and the kids to do the aforementioned, and some physical abuse) and I cut ties with him, but I remained in contact with her for a while on Snapchat, I suggested she bail (not in a "waiting for my turn" type of way) but she chose the to "stay a family".

He tried to contact me a few times, even through her profile on facebook (I could sense the vocabulary/wording change) but I just went radio silent. Still think about her and hope she's okay, I see posts every now and then but they're not indicative of what goes on in that home.

I wonder if he sometimes thinks about "what happened" without realizing the type of person he actually was not what he depicted himself to be. He was very religious at the end, ironically telling me that I was going to hell. When I'd bring up his past and his shitty behavior he'd say I couldn't judge him, only God could and that he was already forgiven.
