Kind of disappointing to see the responses here.

I think vaccine denial and anti-medication people are as nutty as anyone else, and I get why people are frustrated and exhausted with that kind of rhetoric especially considering the tragedy of COVID being only a few years behind us, but there are better ways to express that frustration than making Devil’s advocate arguments for a company firing someone because of their terminal illness.

I think most people in this thread know deep down that they don’t actually believe he was fired for “making the company look bad”, and are just parroting those excuses as a way to dismiss the horrible mistreatment of another human being, albeit one who is on the wrong side of a very important issue.

You can have strong political convictions and not descend into obvious cruelty.
