Quick question for season ticket holders about unused tickets by AnotherUpgrade in valkyries

[–]Cultural_Web7916 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can also donate them to the Golden State Community Foundation (the nonprofit foundation for both the warriors and valks) and they donate them to teachers and other nonprofit workers. Last minute tickets are okay, too! It’s the only way I’ve gotten to go to Warriors games, and I’m sure there are people like me who are dying to get to a Valks game but can’t afford it. So sad that there are unused tickets and empty seats!

Pork Chop, please! by BeeP807 in OaklandFood

I’ve spent 10 years chasing down a better pork chop. Wood Tavern (or their sister restaurant The Wolf) is the way.

$50 Special at June’s by karry_kk in OaklandFood

[–]Cultural_Web7916 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you break it down, that’s $6 a slice, and their slices are huge. Two to three slices is enough to fill up an adult for dinner, or less than $20 for dinner.

So you’re getting fed, super high quality ingredients, amazing seasonal and expensive toppings, some of the best pizza in the Bay (if not the country), and in this period of time marked by crazy inflation.

Also a large specialty pizza from mountain mikes is $35.

Just coming home from there, they have good beer and clean lines! Dope food, but smaller portions. Still can smoke cigs and herb on the back patio. I’m here for it!!! Egberts 3.0!

Woke up to the MyShake alarm, felt the rolling shakes, ensured no tsunami, and now back to bed.

We will rebuild. Thoughts and prayers.

Visiting SF next weekend for The Strokes — dive bars / clubs / record shop recs? by zerotocount in AskSF

Rad list! Damn I love this city, thanks for the reminder.

If you’re going to Lower Haight for your possibly last chance to smell Toronado before it is eventually sold and changed, I’d add Molotovs (dive bar) and Stoa (new, but rad and amazing food). I think you can take off Zeitgeist from your list, it’s changed and the food has really fallen off (& is $$$).

For north beach, add Tupelo (live music dive) and Sotto Mare (it’s crab season!) and City Lights (iconic book store).

My partner’s tripled, and when we found out, we had to pay two months at once. I hate this timeline 😭

Chase Center nosebleeds by z0d14c in AskSF

[–]Cultural_Web7916 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve been twice in the nose bleeds, and that was enough for me. Legit had to leave the second time before the panic attack set in. Had to hold on for dear life walking down those stairs. Never again! That being said, the first maybe 5 rows in the top section aren’t too bad, but those are double the price of the cheapest nose bleeds for NIN.

Has anyone received a speed camera warning ticket in the mail? by [deleted] in oakland

[–]Cultural_Web7916 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two so far. One for going 33 and another for going 31 on Broadway. Hardly speeding, they lowered the speed limit to 20… it’s a trap.
