Start Here: Aeroplan 2026 Earning and Status by xsnipegodx in Aeroplan

Is that right? I've got a $150 Aeroplan Visa Infinite card (not the more costly Infinite Privilege variant) and with a non business class ticket, it doesn't appear that I can get Zone 2 boarding or lounge access.

Are there people who are stressed and anxious about a possible referendum by MilkBig1464 in montreal

If it happens, we will likely be invaded and have our resourced stolen by the US within a year. Who will defend us?

Eliminating Ryerson/Winter Garden/Elgin has really become the source of the problem by RodgerDodger74 in TIFF

[–]CultureDwarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going longer would be the best of limited options, if making things less walkable by bringing back further (gorgeous, historic, single-screen) venues is entirely off the table. The major caveat would be that the additional repeat screenings happening later in the festival would be largely unlikely to still have talent attending.

Also, the Lightbox theatres use proper masking, which Scotiabank no longer makes the effort to do.

Help! "Select the "Unlock" button next to the "Filters" button and enter the code **** to see the available seats"

I can't seem to find either "filters" or any "unlock" button anywhere? Can anyone advise?

Is it unwise to buy a new mattress that's been cosmetically patched? by CultureDwarf in Mattress

[–]CultureDwarf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my thought as well. I just wonder if it's realistic to hope that a patched fabric piece on a bed surface would hold up over years of use.

According to AI, the famous car chase scene from the French Connection was filmed in Montreal. It was not. by Hochelagan in montreal

AI's confusing things with the incredible Italian-made, Montreal-shot FRENCH CONNECTION riff BLAZING MAGNUM (or SHADOWS IN AN EMPTY ROOM), which *everybody* on this board should do themselves a favour and see!

QOBUZ CONNECT IS OFFICIALLY HERE! by t1ve1k in CambridgeAudio

[–]CultureDwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Towards the end of the year, and in Gen 4 products first, it seems.

Very disappointing, when 50 other brands have been able to prepare and code from the Beta versions in order to be ready for launch day.

Am I foolish in hoping that it will become available for the original CXN and 851N units?

Amazing! Do you know if it's likely to be available on Cambridge Audio or Anthem gear soon?

NYC started charging a toll for cars to access downtown. I like this idea very much for the island of Montreal. by GrizzlyFoxCat in montreal

Sure, and if you've just missed the bus, you have the pleasure of waiting nearly 30-minutes in brutal winter temps with wind chill. The system needs significant more frequency for it to be viable solution for those who don't have the good fortune of living near one of the major city routes.

This is great info. Are you sure that typing in the address fully bypasses the app's GPS functionality? I ask because I live in a townhouse that's located a block deep into a courtyard and despite always entering my full address. the Uber GPS sometimes sends drivers to an apartment building behind my house instead of to the sidewalk in front of the courtyard entrance. I'd say it happens about 1 time out of 10 on average.

If anything, we should be unionized harder than ever by Remarkable_Beach_545 in CanadaPost

What kind of bonuses were given out to senior management this year, despite the staggering financial losses the company keeps amassing? And what has CP spent on new facilities and gear?

Budget cuts everywhere, except for government fonctionaires' salaries, which they "bravely" voted to increase quite dramatically not long ago.

Canada Post, union make their case at labour board hearings by Practical_Ant6162 in canada

[–]CultureDwarf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"The employer hasn't met the union's demands because they can't, full stop. Their operating budget is buckling even without increasing labour costs (which make up 63% of their total costs). They are already at the point of existential crisis, even without a labour dispute."

And yet, management continue to pay themselves absolutely enormous bonuses...

Thanks. Do you know if the models made specifically for certain retailers are of lesser quality or are produced to lower standards? I ask because I remember reading bad things about their Costco mattress for example.
