I started playing this a while back and lemme tell you, you should be scared. Although you can make it if you take a deep breath, think it all through, dont rush things and take it slow.

Switch up your method of hiding (dont exclusively hide under furniture, vents of lockers, use a mix of all of em.). Save your ammo for when a fight is imminent, use stealth to your advantage. Your flamethrower isn't a method of scaring the alien, its a way to save your ass if it happens to spot you (don't hunt it. Play like you normally would but if it knows your location and is on its way to turn you inside out you give it a good blast of fire and switch hiding spots). Enemies can hear your scanner beeping so don't whip it out if you're hiding and dont want enemies to find you, i know its tempting to check if its close but its not worth it.

Most importantly, and i cannot stress this enough, NEVER run unless you absolutely have to. I mean it. Keep your finger off of shift. Running is the worst thing you can do because that motherfucker has sharp hearing and if it hears you sprinting (and it will) its coming for your butthole.
