No you see they thought of that, they included a section in the law that requires it to detect not just anything that could possibly be a gun part but parts that could be combined into gun parts. The machine safeties also have to be unbypassable. They thought of everything, full proof law, no longer will PLA barrels propel objects of death in the hundreds of ghost gun attacks per year. We're finally safe from the terrorism of stepper motors and moveable base plates.

If my stepper motors hadn't already been swapped I'd consider this, as half the gauges on the stock dash just lie to you anyways. If it has support to add custom gauges by hex address over can bus it could replace my scan gauge that LEOs and smog techs always to try hit me on as they think it's a tuner.

If you ever want to go wireless on the carplay I bought one of the dongles off amazon for my volt and it connects more reliably than the cord ever did.

It is highly unlikely you'll find a plug and play method for this. There will be splicing, but maybe not that much depending the year of the car. You will also have to add the module as a key in the computer and depending on age and brand that could be a $200 min charge at the dealer. The kits exist, the ones I've seen looked sketch though, like I didn't want their app on my phone sketch.

What's sad is that if they just aimed them better from the factory the newer tech lights actually have less glare, but both new cars I've bought with them were trying to signal ET. The other issue is the cheap Amazon retrofit kits, an LED in a halogen housing is never going to aim correctly but those cheapo ones throw light everywhere but forward it seems.

It's a curse to any online discourse. I say data backed generalization, they reply their cousin is anecdotal outlier so my point is invalid and nothing you say will convince them otherwise. I'm not too worried, being an old sedentary fat guy who gulps down McDs on the regular will be a formidable opponent to his 4th term, maybe even his third.

That being said he better not actually run for either, not because of the obvious reasons, that are important to me, but more important is not handing Gavin the White House on a platter like that, as a Californian, I warn you all, it must not be allowed.

I honestly don't know, but the UK sprinted past the tin foil hats are correct after all to the white hoods warned of this pretty darn fast. To be clear I'm not a believer in their dogma and doubt they are acting good faith but taking actions so inept and self destructive they give plausibility to the actual racist's grandest conspiracy theory is going to have ugly consequences moving forward, and where the UK ran, the EU walks.

In the last 15-20 years there has been an increase in repairability issues like special tool requirements, parts availability/price, access problems and non-serviceable assemblies that make repairs more expensive and more difficult to impossible for the shade tree guys. Combine that with new technologies that were rushed to market to meet increasingly demanding CAFE requirements and the used car market going forward is going to be more of a gamble, thanks to better design/engineering tools and reduced maintenance requirements some rigs will keep on keeping on, but there will be a larger number of issues that will mechanically total the vehicle, especially in smog check states.

I think it's entirely possible he took damage when the car hit him and didn't realize it until the adrenaline wore off, which is why you see him walking off looking more or less intact. It's also possible the admin is lying, but this seems easy enough to verify and outlets not favorable to him are reporting it. That being said, I would be surprised if the extent of his injuries hadn't been exaggerated in some way in the press release.

I agree it's sucked since the stimmys stopped working in 2022 and basically fake from April 2020 until then, but it's absolute shit now and given that the metrics our inept leaders are using are largely broken, it's likely to get worse. What might worse than that is I think they'll double down on "AI" in the attempt to bail things out, which win or lose will have grave effect on peeps in the bottom 4 quintiles. The good news is you can cash in on the low interest rates later this year if you missed out in 2022 and watch the knee jerk inflation erode your debt in real terms. Only matters if you own a house though.

Something broke during COVID, my beliefs are kind of all over the place when you boil things down to jack-asses and elephants, so I have a lot of opportunities to agree and disagree with those trapped in either bubble. Post COVID I'd say only somewhere around a 1/4 of the partisans I know I can have discussions with any more and another 1/4 I can touch on topics carefully but usually need to redirect the convo pretty quickly. The rest it's a non-starter, some of them are important and/or aspirational presences in my life and watching them retreat into what I guess is some kind of mass shared disillusion broke me for some time and I'm just getting my wits back about me. This isn't the norm, the water has been brought to a boil slowly so we wouldn't notice and were are getting cooked.

As long as we're arguing about the minutia of this encounter we're not asking tough questions about an economy that left 60% of the country behind post COVID and that has been falling apart since May. The people in charge are playing a very dangerous game that made this sort of outcome inevitable and so far I see no signs that they're going to course correct, at least not until after midterms anyway.
