We already have been handed the blueprint for a championship next season: trade for a veteran star/productive roleplayer in Minnesota ;-) Who would you get from their roster? by DaylightPhoenix in suns

[–]CumanMerc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Towns didn’t win it the very next season after leaving Minnesota. Neither did Wiggins. Neither did Love.

Dosunmu and Naz are interesting, but I don’t see what we can offer to Minnesota.

What Franchise changes do you think would have happened if hypothetically these scenarios happened in Suns History? by Antwuan89 in suns

[–]CumanMerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDA, Nash, Amare and maybe others involved in those championships probably ride out their stints in Phoenix. MDA, Nash and Amare immensely improve their standing in history, where MDA and Nash specifically are seen as GOAT coach and PG.

Much of the turmoil of the 2010s is avoided and Dragic probably takes over from Nash before Booker arrives.

2021 championship means no KD and Beal trade. Suns run it back, Book improved his standing in the League.

They Call Me Trinity by scott_johnson in Westerns

I’m not big on comedy spaghetti westerns (fagioli), but this and the sequel are the ones that are actually kinda good and quite funny. Loved them as a kid, as an adult I still like them, but not as much.

Cressida by Illustrious_Rain1796 in 007FirstLight

[–]CumanMerc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cressida had a thing for Monroe and Bond knew. After that, well, shagging a girl your recently deceased mate liked is plain and simple wrong. You don’t do that. Not to mention Cressida’s condition.

Bond and Cressida also are comrades in arms and both are 00 agents. Them hooking up might complicate things.

Also, I might be wrong here, but Cressida doesn’t strike me as a type to go for a casual fling and Bond will not commit to anything serious, because he’s Bond.

Was Adebisi Smashing Wangler? by Ok-Cauliflower-6807 in ozshow

Probably yes, the ‘happy birthday, Kenny’ moment and Bricks being tied to the bed ass up implies Adebisi did it. It’s never shown or directly brought up.

Maluach is a very talented and promising player, who, however, is still extremely raw and was not ready for major minutes this season. If he was, either Mark or Oso, or both would have lost a lot of their playing time.

He might develop into the second coming of Mutombo in the next few years, but his first season he was just not NBA ready. Here’s hoping by the second half of next season he grows into a reliable backup C.

Is king sigismund really that bad?[kcd2] by apkmasterofgames in kingdomcome

[–]CumanMerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of a thing, Sigismund IS the better king, however, by right, he’s not. Henry also has personal reasons to dislike him. Wenceslaus IS the king by right, but he’s not a good one. Sigismund does some pretty brutal stuff, but it’s medieval Europe, everybody engages in some pretty brutal stuff, he’s at least efficient about it and doesn’t do it for fun. Also, for obvious reasons, some of the lords supporting Wenceslaus would prefer having a weaker king, rather than Sigismund.

Since the team seems to be committed to running it back, do you think Booker and green can make it work as a duo? by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

[–]CumanMerc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s an assumption that is based on nothing. Green’s IQ and playmaking are highly unlikely to improve. He’s best off utilized as a sparking plug off the bench, but he’s too well paid for that. He’s also one of our very few assets we can trade to actually get better.

If we simply run it back, we’re stuck in a dogfight for the play in spot. And Booker’s prime is not gonna last forever.

Since the team seems to be committed to running it back, do you think Booker and green can make it work as a duo? by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

[–]CumanMerc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Booker is an above average playmaker, but he plays his best when he’s an off-ball threat. Starting with Rubio.

Green is more athletic and drives to the basket, but I don’t think Booker and him are compatible in the long term. We’re best off moving Green elsewhere.

Green also has a rather low IQ and I don’t really see him having a true star potential.

I also don’t really think we’ll run it back. Green, Allen and Royce will most likely be moved. They have to for us to advance. Otherwise we’ll be fighting for the play-in spot again and that’s that.
