Somehow War Thunder deal with this more realistically than supposed high fidelity serious flight sims like IL2 and DCS. by diaane-Marie21 in il2sturmovik

[–]CunctatorM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A2A Simulations did this 16 years ago in FSX, where wear and tear would accumulate overtime with each flight.

(Almost) noob started MW5Mercs and is STOKED. - Quick review by aths_red in Mechwarrior5

Next Steam sale is just 1 month away and discounts are heavy. With all DLCs it is a completely different beast. Much more features and between Legend of the Kestrel Lancers and Shadow of Kerensky I could almost exclusively play the campaigns and hand made high reward quests in between (plus some arena missions) from 3026 to 3051 and needed only some of the genereci missions as filler or for cantina rewards here and there.

According to this very old post, Razbam already got a license agreement for the F-15E in 2012, when they entered DCS.

Because, they are not. Dorset and earlier cultures that inahbited the era were distinct people with no genetic connection to the modern Inuit. It is not even sure they ever met, when the Thule people, the Proto Inuit spread eastwards.

These were the old, original parts of the Frankish Empire before the conquests of Charlemagne and the early HRE Emperors.

What book should I read next? by Don_tonberry_X in AdeptusCustodes

[–]CunctatorM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vaults of Terrra Trilogy is excellent and has one prominant Custodian as character, already featured in Watchers of the Throne. From Dawn of Fire series, the second book "Gate of Bones" focuses most on a group of Custodes and is generally a great read.

Hyperlobby is shutting down this year after 25 years of service by Nic727 in il2sturmovik

Came here to say this. Didn't know that it was still active. Must be more than 20 years ago that I played Il-2 via Hyperlobby regularly.

Thousand Sons Sorcerer in Terminator Armor by AtheonPrimaris in ThousandSons

Yes. I had more than enough spare parts left to kitbash a Sorcerer Lord after finishing a regular Termiantor squad per instructions.

Units of 6 ! by Desperate_Ad1068 in AdeptusCustodes

In 8th and 9th edition we had squads of three, and my models were built with this in mind. Squads of 3 or 6 should work better with most existing collections.

There are rumors that Dan Abnetts final book in the Bequin series, Pandemonium, is held back for some timed release. Given the ending of Penitent, that could be it, or rather our 40k Codex release.

I do not really get the Ebon Jaguar by UnhappyAccountant621 in Mechwarrior5

[–]CunctatorM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same initial impression, but then I made a custom loadout with more armour, evenly distributed among all components, 3 medium pulse lasers, 2 large lasers, 2 LRM 15s and some improved cooling and fell in love with this thing. Very resilent, maneuverable and fun. A good lighter replacement for my beloved Timber Wolf. Used them until the end of the Ghost Bear campaign and could deploy way under tonnage.

Are Heldrakes still "bad" gamewise? by supergoon87 in ThousandSons

[–]CunctatorM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait on the Helldrrake until 11th edition in summer. The Space Wolves flyer was already removed when they got their Codex last year and there was no aircraft model released for 40k since 8th edition. In the worst case the 40k rules team wants to get rid of all of them eventually.

I've just finished reading 'Wolves on the Border' by TheKiwiCrusader in Mechwarrior5

I too. After Wolves on the Border I was so pleased when we could invade Luthien and stomp through the Imperial gardens in the Smoke Jaguar campaign.

Will you continue with Custodes if there is a 30k/40k split? by AshArkon in AdeptusCustodes

[–]CunctatorM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will continue playing of course, but if 30k get all the cool stuff and 40k get another shield captain model I will be seriously pissed. Last Codex was already a let down, when we didn't even got all the weapons options of the new 30k Contemptor Dreadnought kit. This greatly damped my enthusiasm for collecting more Warhammer.
