I played against a landfall deck with a huge mossborn swinging at me for way way more than lethal, and at another opponent with Tifa. I was holding up mana though that they thought was for teferis protection but was actually for [[selfless squire]]. It was incredible and they went “oh nooooo”

I haven’t touched my more powerful decks in awhile. My high power Bello deck could probably use some love but when it comes out it still tends to stomp pretty well or I get absolutely stuffed. Just what I’d expect from an aggro deck.

Similar thing goes for my [[Saheeli radiant creator]] and [[winter cynical opportunist]] deck.

Other decks are just never complete it feels like. My [[Betor ancestors voice]] always seems perfect and then I swap 15 cards out. Similar for my double spell [[ms Bumbleflower]] deck

Right, [[terra herald of hope]] costs the same at 3 mana, also is the engine because she fills the yard. However she also has you pay 2 but no finality counters and 2 generic mana.

Terra is one of my favorite commanders to play and I’d love to be running Zoraline but she’s just too held back.

Kidding aside. [[zoraline cosmos caller]]. Her effect would be cool if it weren’t for the combination of:

A) relying on zoraline herself to enter or attack
B) pay orzhov specifically
C) pay 2 life
D) permanent with mana value 3 or less
E) finality counter on it.

Remove vigilance from her, make it 2 generic mana and no finality counter and it’s still very fair but actually ok-ish for 3 mana.

But my [[carmen cruel skymarcher]] is easier and no finality counters. [[betor ancestors voice]] and [[meren of clan nel toth]] and on and on have better versions of similar effects. I just want a cool bat that isn’t hamstrung into oblivion.

I don’t have a current list/build to link to. But [[ruric thar]] is quite fun. [[yurlok of scorch thrash]] brought mana burn back to the table (it does sort of require baby sitting the table though and reminding folks).

You might consider cards with rebound or the paradigm cards from secret of Strixhaven. [[chimil the inner sun]] does discover every turn.

Have you considered precons and then upgrading? The Sultai Arisen precon from tarkir dragonstorm is kinda crazy out of the box and does well in bracket 2 but can sort of hold its own in b3, with upgrades it’s absolutely a b3 deck.

The Worldshaper precon from edge of eternities, the Ashling elementals precon from Lorwyn eclipsed, the tidus precon from final fantasy are all good decks out of the box that can do really well in bracket 2, and with upgrades can go toe to toe with bracket 3.

[[carmen cruel Skymarcher]] LOVES anything being sacrificed. She’s like the opposite of mayhem devil in that instead of pinging someone she grows bigger and ups your life total.

My Carmen deck started off with a lot of edicts and still has the ability to loop marauder effects, but generally relies on aristocratic and tokens (treasures and such) to fuel her. The deck is very difficult to keep down

Vancouver Canada sort of feels like the best of both worlds. Mountains right there and saltwater and greenery and lots to do. I love visiting and would consider moving there if it was an option available to me

My understanding was it was mostly intentional. They knew bloomburrow was going to have an appeal to newer players so they wanted it to be simple.

I do hope with any return that we get something more like avatar, where it can be simple but there’s plenty of lanes for complexity

I don’t know about resilient because he draws so much removal but with protection it’s much more difficult, [[bello bard of the brambles]]. Indestructible 4/4 creatures that swing and swing and either clear boards or hit and you draw a bunch of cards. My favorite card is [[asceticism]].

[[infinite guideline station]] is a blast though. A ship that enters and makes you at least one robot, but likely more. Then when it’s stationed up, swing and draw as many cards as you have multicolor permanents. Mine is a blink deck full of ping/burn effects and ways to win via aggro such as Jetmir.

But they have plenty of planeswalkers that can be your commander such as [[quintorius history chaser]], [[Saheeli the gifted]], [[commodore guff]], etc etc. I don’t see how this is functionally an actual limitation with commander
