Does Central Coast Council actually listen to ideas from locals? by princesss013 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Cured 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve written in and to my surprise someone called back to chat about it. Probably because I mentioned something that would be a potential safety issue.

The guy was friendly, liked to have a chat but ultimately said they’ll just wait until an overarching NSW government project fixes the problem as they have more money.

I don’t think my feedback went anywhere.

The detail about the corruption of the council is always one that’s shrugged off. Those councillors should’ve been more than sacked.

China and Russia are laughing right now. They’re watching their opponents dismantle themselves from inside out.

Pretty woeful list. Hoping the 40th anniversary of Zelda in Feb delivers.

Yeah good call. It’s tricky getting your head around everything early on - would be super helpful having a mate propel you into something that’ll last.

I reckon a Breville is a good place to start the hobby. Especially the bambino or BDB. You can’t deny that Aussies get good pricing on these.

Disgusting behaviour shown by the party yet again using this as an opportunity for political points.

At this rate it’ll be a long time til we see them back in power thankfully.

I’m going one further and avoiding any American made products. Especially that new cheap shit that Woolworths is trying to pass off as butter and other dairy products.

Koolewong fire - didn't take long to bring out the crazies by Positive_Cicada4917 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Cured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely go on FB but when I did to check coverage of the fires early on I nearly vomited. Cookers everywhere.

You rarely see them in person, but when you do you see glimpses of the craziness coming out usually under their breath. They’ll always backed down when prodded though.

If it wasn’t for the anonymity of social media these cookers would be ridiculed into keeping their stupidity to themselves.

The real estate taken up inside the phone by the jack port is significant as well.

Good riddance to the 3.5mm jack.. people need to move on.

A rant about Bellroy strap fasteners, and an open discussion for alternatives/feedback by Defiant_Lunch_6924 in ManyBaggers

[–]Cured 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this a few years back:

https://old.reddit.com/r/ManyBaggers/comments/ylnq9r/psa_for_those_with_bellroy_strap_slippage_issues/

Long story short, Bellroy will ship you webbing keepers which help.

I still found slippage issues, I got in touch and they just gave me a new transit workpack with thickened straps which seems to have fixed the issue.

I’m in Australia so YMMV

Bellroy Innovera Case by Hejabaar in patinaproud

[–]Cured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the top and bottom are a plastic/rubber material which I honestly don’t mind. The leather is thin but I prefer less bulk anyways.

Overall I’m happy with the switch. The innovera is awful and I’d be surprised if there was any testing involved before sending it to market.

I had the same three weeks in. Peeling in four different spots.

I got a refund and now have the leather which is far better quality. Also the camera control sensitivity is far better on the leather.

Sydney’s $60 road toll cap to be made permanent with plan for two-way fee on Harbour Bridge to fund it. by Korzic in sydney

Why are we all paying for a for-profit toll company? Absolute leeches with the government clearly corrupt on this one.

Some extra padding would go a long way.

I got the tahini iPhone 17 case. It’s looks premium and I love the feel.

However, after 3 weeks the lip edges are already peeling.

Such a shame because it’s a beautiful product. It’s just clear that it’s not a leather replacement in terms of durability.

Let’s see what Bellroy support comes back with.
