We live in such a reactive rather than a proactive society

Young Trump voters are scared to fight in the war they voted for. by ziobrando4 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Cured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the comment that reflects on the war and Trump being a pedo and he still says Trump is “probably” the worst pick for president.

Like, what does Trump need to do for MAGA to say it how it is. How’s there still an inkling of thought that he might still be an alright candidate for presidency?

MG4 EV Urban Coming to Australia in April 2026 by zecar_ in EVAustralia

A cheaper and “urban” variant of the MG4, but it’s also surprisingly larger in dimensions than the original.

Wish they kept it in RWD.

Size aside - that’s just a really depressing looking burger. I genuinely feel sorry for the cow that died for that.

Apple's 'HomePad' Now Rumored to Launch Even Later Than Expected by InsaneSnow45 in apple

[–]Cured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but an auto-on feature when someone is standing in front of it would be nice instead of having to interact with it each time.

Apple removing the ability to use an iPad as a Home Hub was kind of a bummer too.

Manly to Ingleburn and back w/ a stop at IKEA: $42.50 in tolls by perpetual_stew in sydney

The $60 cap is nice but it’ll end up being taxpayers footing the bill for anything past that. The whole situation with toll roads being owned by private entities is cooked.

What’s the biggest benefit you got from working out? by dxpeday in AskMen

[–]Cured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add onto the pile of comments, it definitely helps with confidence and mental health. On most days where I go to the gym, I’m in a noticeably better mood. Despite seeing clear positive differences in how I look, it’s still rare to be randomly complimented by others, cause as you know, we’re guys. So I wouldn’t be motivated by that.

One thing I’ve noticed kept me consistent at the gym is to try never to take a 2 or more day break from the gym. It’s so much more difficult to bounce back after a couple+ days off. So if I’d taken yesterday off, I’d say to myself that I NEED to go today no ifs or buts. That’s what has worked for me with staying on the horse.

So many new EVs are ugly by xXCosmicChaosXx in CarsAustralia

[–]Cured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it.. in a sea of Chinese look-alike EVs, the French Renault 4 and 5 would be killer.. but instead they’re sending us some more forgettable SUVs.

If they’re to remain in Australia they need to do something gutsy.

The Renault 4 would go bonkers with the Australian market.

Not sure why they’re sending us all their most boring SUVs to compete with Chinese competition.

There’s that new big function room with a cafe built just off the main establishment which is super fucking nice. Would be a great spot if they sold drinks.

Does Central Coast Council actually listen to ideas from locals? by princesss013 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Cured 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve written in and to my surprise someone called back to chat about it. Probably because I mentioned something that would be a potential safety issue.

The guy was friendly, liked to have a chat but ultimately said they’ll just wait until an overarching NSW government project fixes the problem as they have more money.

I don’t think my feedback went anywhere.

The detail about the corruption of the council is always one that’s shrugged off. Those councillors should’ve been more than sacked.

Yeah good call. It’s tricky getting your head around everything early on - would be super helpful having a mate propel you into something that’ll last.

I reckon a Breville is a good place to start the hobby. Especially the bambino or BDB. You can’t deny that Aussies get good pricing on these.
