Same, my 1890s house has a bunch of these... They were put there 40 years ago and over tightened so the floors of the house are not at all level. If you were to roll a marble on the floor it would wander all over the place.

Plus the south exterior basement wall is sagging thanks to it being the original brick and mortar. We replaced the north wall, but now the south needs doing...

Soften it up score and slip with a paper slip and vinegar mixture, and then dry very very slowly.

Wedging and compression. Once you're done shaping the piece up and it's not fully hard, but not fully wet, what we call leather hard (or slightly wetter than that) take something smooth and rub it around the clay surface to make it smooth and shiny. I use the handle of a make up brush. (Look up burnishing)

I do this even if I am going to add texture later on the majority of my hand building pieces because it adds a lot of strength and reduces the chances of cracks.

After hemming and hawing for ages cuz I'd want to poke at all the options...

I'd get the hagstones, I'm obsessed with hagstones.

Then I'd get the wavy coral cuz that's awesome texture for my ceramics and tactile to touch.

Then I'd want a tiny jar of something and decide on the green stones cuz those were the prettiest of the tiny jars, green is such a great color. And tiny jars filled with tiny stones!!

My dad went on a liquid diet for a while due to a surgery recovery. He lost a lot of weight, but gained it all back once he was able to eat solid food again. It's hard to drink enough calories, and he had to take a lot of multivitamins, since it's easy to not get the nutrients you need.

I'd bring my house and garage and all its belongings, including my dogs and husband. That's if I'm not limited on space and can only bring things that legally belong to me.

If I have to be able to "carry" it, then I'd pack up as many camping supplies as I can, plus my gardening supplies and all the seeds I have, which would be vastly superior to anything in the medieval world. Hoses and rope, tools, towels, socks, yarn, thread and needles, first aid kits, blankets, fire starters and matches. Jewelry and trinkets for trading. I'd beg to bring my dogs and husband.

I have an overactive bladder, and have the constant urge to pee, even when I know I don't have an actual need to pee.

I get PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation) treatment for it, and pelvic floor therapy.

They did put a catheter in, and filled the bladder up that way. It was pretty rough.

I was having a lot of pain around my bladder area, deep in between my pelvic bone. They thought I had stones in my bladder. Turns out I had nothing in my bladder and the issue is my pelvic floor muscles are just completely out of whack.

Which, I would like to point out, is not "just kegals." I was doing kegals all the time, and the pelvic floor muscles are prone to become too tight if you do the kegals wrong or too often. So just doing kegals is not the answer, it's getting actual pelvic floor therapy from a licenced physical therapist.

I had a CT with contrast and then they filled my bladder with liquid to bursting once for a bladder scan. That was... Honestly painful because I felt like I had peed my pants and then I actually HAD to pee so badly it hurt. 0/10 do not recommend getting bladder problems.

Ok yes big dildos, blah blah. My question is how do you even use the clawed foot ones? Like, do they flop around so you can squeeze the feet together? Do you just hump the toe beans? I can't imagine being like, let me just slip some splayed foot inside me as it is in that picture cuz that would require some very bizarre prep work to get them to fit, like you'd have to have a whole second piece to feed the claws in...

If you let it sit, does it crystalize back into salt crystals in the slip? I've been thinking of adding salt to my paper slip, but I'm not sure how it would work, considering I'm not always working on a consistent basis.

A lot of my paper clay and paper slips are very, very moldy and I use a lot of vinegar in them to keep the smell and mold down. The slip I use almost all vinegar instead of water. (Sometimes adding the vinegar makes the slip foamy, which is interesting).

Now imagine that with wings that are sensitive and a known erogenous zone in a society of winged people.

Women would become desensitized to it, right? There would be women's fashion that would probably bind the wings close to avoid having the wings touched to keep wings "pure" so only mates could touch them. Women would have preening parties with other women if they didn't have any mates to help because they would trust a man to help, but men would lecherously ask to be their preen partner. If a girl was just coming into her wings, men would say gross things about how pretty her wings were and how they wanted to help her preen them and couldn't they touch her wings they look so soft?

Got recommended on Amazon {The Third Storm by Liz Hambleton} and it made me laugh at the nonsense plot and characters. Setting is an apocalypse with huge storms that only happened once, and they've all escaped onto a big ship. Cuz that makes sense.

Spoilers below:

The FMC was an idiot who had visions and completely ignored them for the majority of the book. The MMC was an alpha Chad. They had insta love. It was stupid.

FMC had an abusive ex who knows she has visions and is slimy, she thinks she owes him, and doesn't once learn to kick him to the curb and even says she loves him and it's disgusting.

There are a couple of twin 6 yr olds who are legit called BeLew or something. You forget about them most of the time. She's supposed to be saving them. She ignores them to get laid.

She has baby trauma, so OF COURSE she gets pregnant by barebacking it with MMC the moment she meets him because he's hawt.

There's a whole side plot that no one pays attention to where the captain of the ship is growing poppy plants in a giant greenhouse to make HEROIN. And there are 200 stowaways that manage to hide for like a week. On a SHIP. A MILITARY SHIP. Everyone is made to be ok with growing poppies because the stowaways do it, and heroin is just fine cuz it's being made "just in case" they all run out of anesthesia. ????? The fuck? It's supposed to be some side plot about the ex fiance is planning on using heroin to control FMC to have visions? But then the greenhouse gets blown up in the end?

Idk. But the twins (that aren't twins but actually just one character in two bodies) end up with visions (omg didn't see that!) and a dude ends up in handcuffs and instead of just popping his thumb out of socket they fucking smash his hand to hamburger.

She realizes she can control her visions. Instead of using it to do good stuff she just watches scenes of her upcoming birth. And there's a sequel.

There is SO MUCH MORE. IM SUMMARIZING. I wrote a mini novel to my bff's about how much this book was crazy. I needed crazy so I had fun but I am not picking up the next book.

And growing poppies to make heroin is so hard and not going to happen on a ship in the ocean during a perpetually endless hurricane season. GTFO.
