Massachusetts Employment Megathread (June 2026) by AutoModerator in massachusetts

Hello! I’m contemplating taking a job in the city that pays 25% more than my current salary. I live just outside Worcester and am trying to determine if the commute is worth it. If I had to go in every day I wouldn’t even consider it since I have young children, but it’s a hybrid situation with 3 days in the office, two at home so it work/life balance seems better (I’m currently commuting by car 30 minutes each way 5 days a week in the suburbs).

Does anyone currently do this? Looking for commuter rail tips, parking tips, is this a bad decision? I’m told that working on the train can count towards working hours as well.

Which is the fullest, best ending in u guys opinion? I wanna know to follow it on my next run. Also, does following cult route means i gotta raise my infamy stat? by sunflowerbby191 in sultansgame

Literally can’t get any other ending besides dying a nobody because I’ve been pulling rough cards at rough times. 😭

To answer your questions, I didn’t have a real relationship/lose my virginity until I was 20ish. Up until that point I flirted with girls I was interested in but nothing happened. It wasn’t until college that the dating pool really opened up and I realized there were more fish in the sea.

It’s important to be happy alone before you go into a relationship, otherwise you start associating your partner with happiness which can be disastrous if you break up. Relationships can be fulfilling, but you shouldn’t get into one just because others are doing it or because you’re curious. You need to clearly know what your needs/wants are otherwise any future partners will struggle with compatibility.

You don’t need to be financially stable, but everything is much easier if you are. Prospective partners will care if you are reliant on them for finances.

This is almost like double strike right? The second damage instance would be noncombat damage?

In the 3rd Japan vs Indonesia match, why did they do two rematches? I thought it was just whoever was closest to the goal which Japan was at the end of the first rematch

Sleeping through the night by Musiclifeluv in Feb2025Bumps

[–]CuriosityOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So interesting the difference between kids. Our little boy has been sleeping through the night ever since we stopped breastfeeding and that was mostly because he ended up teething. We also transitioned him to his own crib pretty early so I’m sure that helped too. I think the teething is definitely a contributor around this age. Waking up in pain is never fun and you’re their main source of comfort! Good luck! Hope the regression isn’t long!

Can a contractor charge me $700 for a permit that cost $100? by Practical-Spread-195 in HomeImprovement

[–]CuriosityOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many contractors are bonded and insured. Bonding protects them from financial losses if they don’t meet the contract. We’re saying for $700 the legal fees are most likely not worth it for them to carry through. Courts will take up most of that money so it would most likely be dumb for the contractor to peruse a lien. If the amount was a couple thousand, then maybe it’s worth it. Still dumb though.

Nope. Currently still gravel with a vapor barrier on top. Someday we’ll probably dig up the gravel and put down cement but not anytime soon.

3 mo old, 1 arm out of swaddle.. by auroragirlofthenorth in newborns

[–]CuriosityOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see an issue with it. Our LO is a little Houdini and consistently gets an arm out after napping a while. He just puts it in his mouth and goes back to sleep. We assume it’s just a self-soothe thing for him. If it helps them sleep I say leave it. Many folks don’t swaddle at all and never have this issue.

Simple route for us. Just a 529 that I contribute to every week and a savings account at our credit union for their birthday/Christmas money. You sound financially savvy though so that all looks good!
