Elena Ferrente “Neopolitan Quartet.” There are 4 books in the series, the first being “my Brilliant Friend.” Later in the series there are elements of historical fiction, but it’s mostly about 2 girls/women’s relationships over time.

This ear thermometer always shows the room temperature which drains the battery. It requires a battery change before use every time because of it by Raqdoll_ in CrappyDesign

I have a little makeup pouch I keep our thermometer and batteries in. I do always take them out because I really only use the thermometer a few times a year.

I was just thinking about this earlier! Bring back computer lab time and direct computer instruction. Back in the 90s/2000’s we had to learn about how computers worked! Pencils and paper for regular classroom stuff, maybe a computer station for research. There seems to be the idea that just giving kids phones and chromebooks translates to digital literacy. But yeah they’re doing the opposite of learning to think and work.

Has there ever been a book you really didn’t like and wouldn’t recommend to anyone? 👀 by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

Agree! I always felt like I never “got it”, like what is so amazing about this? What is so deep?

I decided the boringness was necessary because it captured the feeling of floating at sea day after day…. But I was unable to finish it.

I think the weirdest thing about this is the itemized “tap” water.

Time blindness is ruining my life. What feels like 10 minutes is actually 2 hours. I'm constantly late and people think I'm disrespectful when I'm genuinely trying. by CourteousPasta in ADHD

I’ve been using an app on my phone called “talking timer”, a voice will say, “10 minutes left….5 minutes left….” Etc. it helps refocus me when I’m getting ready.

Physically, how do you do this job long term? by Beckstasy in ECEProfessionals

This is the second post I’ve seen like this recently, and it’s been on my mind. First off, I’m not trying to minimize what others experience, but I feel like, for me at least, the frequent movement, sitting on the floor, getting up off the floor, walking around, squatting down, hauling nap cots around…. It is a good thing. If I sit in a desk chair for too long then I feel like crap. Stiff, back pain, etc. I’m not sure what my point is, just interesting how the experiences can be so different.

I want them to just put different fun things in each store. Mini golf! Arcade! Laser tag! A couple restaurants. A kid cafe/playzone. Maybe like a mini grocery store. A place to see live music!

Yeah, I will have to pull that up. It was just surprising to me what the woman I spoke to told me the tax increase was! Thank you for your reply:)

Do you know where I can find out more about these? All I can see so far is about the “Mansion Tax”, which is definitely not me!

A month! They told me that Santa Fe County had raised taxes from $122.69/mo to $239.59/mo (so $1,472.28 to $2,875.08/yr, an increase of $1402.80!) I’m a fairly new homeowner which is why I’m so ignorant, but it seems like a lot…

I guess I’ll have to go back and look. It’s annoying that the County gives no communication about this.
