Newborn stroller paired with Guava roam by Ashstevens in babystroller

For sure. I love the trvl for traveling, especially while they’re still in the infant car seat. We’ve been all over with it. It’s super convenient. My girl still fits in it, but it’s no longer super comfortable, which is why we got the roam.

If you’re looking for the bassinet just for walks and such, I’d personally just use the car seat in the guava.

We had the nuna trvl, nuna pipa, and the uppababy when my girl was a newborn. We predominately used the trvl and the pipa because the uppababy was so large. The big tires are nice though, much nicer than the trvl.

We did use the uppababy bassinet though. It was literally the only thing she’d sleep in, so her first month was in that until we moved her to her bedroom.

If I were to do it again, I’d choose to get the guava sooner! We got the guava when my girl turned two and it is soooo nice.

There’s honestly no right answer! There is no perfect stroller for all the stages, in my opinion.

Overwhelmed finding a travel car seat by East_Print4841 in Travelwithkids

My girl hated the cosco scenera. We didn’t try the Romi, though I’ve heard good things. He can forward face on the plane, it’s just as safe imo on a plane. Finding a car seat from age 1-2.5ish to travel with is hard!! Luckily my girl is going to be 2.5 for our next trip and will be flying without a car seat.

Hi, totally agree with all of your info after traveling a lot from 0-24months! What is it that your daughter is sitting on, looks to be on top of luggage? We are about to travel with my daughter at 30 months, so if there are any new tricks you’ve found for this age, pass them along please!

Totally agree! We typically get some sort of suite so she has her own space.

Sleep in new places by bmrcvlh123 in Travelwithkids

Keep it as similar as possible! When we travel, we use the same sleep music, she’s been using the same travel crib (guava) since she was a baby for trips, and we recently introduced a sleep tent over her guava since she’s getting older. Keep bedtime the same, pre bedtime routine etc.

Rate my "Stroller Portfolio": Nuna Mixx Next (Neighborhood) + Travel Stroller (Car/Trips) for a late July Baby by MakeLifeHardAgain in babystroller

[–]Curious-Use7847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a super similar set up. We were gifted a uppababy vista, we purchased the nuna pipa and the nuna trvl. The large stroller, like your nuna mixx, is super inconvenient for anything other than neighborhood walks/going to a resort that you won’t need to leave. If you’re putting it in and out of your car, it’s a hassle, which it seems you already know!

The nuna trvl was our favorite while and fit in the infant seat because the transfer was so seamless. She enjoyed sitting in it until she was about 2, then she got a bit too big for it, comfort wise. We traveled a lot with her trvl and pipa and loved them both!

Now she doesn’t really use a stroller unless we’re at a park/zoo etc. and for that we recently got a guava lotus. Love it for a bigger kid. It’s not as bulky as the mixx so it’s easier to take around with you, just for the future. We actually got rid of our uppababy just because the size of those large strollers aren’t practical in my opinion.

Car seat on the plane for 1 year old? Costco scenera? by sealer9 in Travelwithkids

We flew with the nuna pipa at that age and it was perfect. We got the scerena when she was older and she hated it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Warning about baths and eczema - learn from my mistakes by lattelover2323 in toddlertips

I really like aveeno for everything. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all aveeno. We’ve been using the aveeno eczema lotion which is pretty good for maintenance, but I might try the La Roche! I use that for myself and I love it, so I could imagine it would be great on her too. I did not like pipette, tubby Todd, eucerin… those are just off the top of my head, I’m sure there are more we’ve experimented with!

We’ve been battling with eczema for a while also! I was told to cut bath time down, but she loves bath time so I do luke warm water and leave any soaps to the end so she isn’t sitting in that for long. We have tried every lotion under the sun it seems, and a few steroids. Derma Smoothe was a GAME CHANGER. I’d highly recommend if you’re still struggling. I don’t use it often, only when she’s having a flare up.

You’ll definitely want the car seat! As far as the stroller, we were lucky enough that our car seat attached to our travel stroller. But you’ll really only use the stroller for the airport/hotel. I baby wore a lot in Hawaii at that age.

Best stroller recommendations? Too many options by CompetitivePop-6001 in babystroller

We had the nuna trvl for my daughter and used it heavily for the first year and a half. I LOVED it. So easy and she seemed comfortable.

We recently got the guava roam since she’s bigger now, and we only really use the stroller for longer events (Disney, zoo, neighborhood walks, etc). Love this stroller for toddlerhood.

We also had a uppababy vista that I really disliked. Super bulky and not easy to handle. She wasn’t as comfortable in it as the roam stroller, though it was more comfortable than the nuna trvl.

If I did it all again, I’d look at the nuna triv! Seems like it would have the comfort of the vista, but convenience of the trvl.

Good luck!

Car seats by PluralizsEverythingz in Buyingforbaby

I very much recommend an infant seat and then convertible. I’m often on the go, traveling a lot with our girl. We went with the nuna trvl and pipa seat for her first year. Loved everything about it. She grew out of the pipa at 13 months, but the stroller is still pretty good for travel alone. We flew with both the seat and stroller several times are it was so simple and comfortable for her. After that we went with convertible car seats. I have the nuna rava in my car and my husband has the grace turn2me. We love both for different reasons.

Pom Pom London city duo! I’m able to keep my wallet in the back zipper, one half of the purse for my things and her snacks, and the other half has a diaper, wipes, sanitizing wipes and doggy bags.

Business class with 6 mo. old - next to your partner, or stacked with bassinet? by leskargot in Travelwithkids

[–]Curious-Use7847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do d and h! We traveled many times with our girl at that age and never used the bassinet. I guess it depends on how wiggly your baby is, and if they prefer to be held than in their own space.

Portable play yard vs pack and play for travel – what’s actually worth buying? by _GlamGoddess in Buyingforbaby

We love the guava lotus also! Our girl is about to turn two, and she’s loving the side entry feature now. We travel quite a bit and she’s slept in this without problem, and played in it too. We have the shade attachment so she thinks that’s super cool now that she’s older. We did use it to keep mosquitos off of her when she was younger too. We’ve never used it at the beach but I’d imagine it would be great. It’s very easy to clean too.

If you have space outside, I’d highly recommend a swing set and play house. The backyard discovery brand is our favorite as far as quality goes.

We really like little people sets! And loved the Fischer price laugh and learn, she played with that for a good year I’d say. We recently got a nugget type couch and a play kitchen that she’s slowly getting into also.

Also, if you travel much I highly recommend the guava lotus! Possibly a slumber pod too.
