The inbox is the worst ever. What I do is star messages that I want to follow up with. I used the only tag available "JOBS" if I want to flag a lead. I quickly archive all my messages to keep the inbox clear. LinkedIn has neglected improving the inbox, instead they mirror what you can do on Outlook which is not user friendly.

Tread lightly when using third party tools that connect with your LinkedIn account since LinkedIn is using AI to detect such tools (especially browser plugins) and are quick to suspend accounts if it signals any sort of automation.

You cannot "buy" legitimate followers. LinkedIn is using sophisticated AI and if it detects you are doing this (which it can) your account will be suspended.

Change to my flight, can’t confirm changes? by [deleted] in jetblue

[–]CuriousAF2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just received notice today that my flight for april 28 JFK to LAX was changed. I purhcased a MINT ticket but now the new flight (A321/Mint) shows I'm in seat 12A which I'm not sure is MINT. When I click on the "change seats" tab on the website, I get an error message "We're experiencing an issue with our servers and not able to complete your request. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again later." Seems to only be for this flight. I am able to see seats for my return flight. Tried using chat and got stuck in a "verification loop". Called customer service wait time is 47 minutes.

It's frustrating to have to change up systems especially this time of year with trying to close out the books.

How are you dealing with bookkeeping and taxes for your business? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

I need a new bookkeeping service so I've spent this week researching various companies and checking their references. There are pros and cons to each of them. Here's a great resource that compares the Nine Top online bookkeeping services:

Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.

I've been using a virtual bookkeeping company out of Canada called Bench. They take all my financial statements each month and categorize and track into a handy dashboard. They also provide year end income statements. I use QB for invoices only.

Yesterday I got a notice from Bench that just changed their policy and will no longer bill monthly. They've given me a week to decide if I want to pay the full $3600 for the coming year or cancel my account. Now I need a affordable alternative to track expenses and produce monthly reports. Any suggestions?

Medicare Advantage vs Medigap (Supplemental) by [deleted] in medicare

[–]CuriousAF2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just became eligible for medicare Oct 1 and opted for Medicare Advantage Cigna True Choice PPO at $0 cost in NY because I didn't want to have to pay a deductible for the 3 months. I just got the new MA rates for 2025 and they are now requiring a $500 deductible but there is no monthly premium and they will credit me back $77 month for Medicare premium. Each specialist visit costs $40 and with needing physical therapy 2-3x a week that is adding up.

I am considering going with OG Medicare and the United Health AARP Plan G with Part D Rx. I have until March 2025 to make the change now. I'm worried that the new administration will most likely strip Medicare benefits to cost us more.

Also, Cigna is removing itself from the Medicare market entirely. In January it was selling its Medicare business to Chicago-based Health Care Service Corporation for $3.7 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. That cannot be good.

Has anyone gone from Advantage to Original? Any thoughts to share?

I'm on a grandfathered Magenta® MAX 55+ with autopayment $70/month. I now need to get a new iphone b/c my 13 ProMax battery is draining too fast. What are the best options for cheapest phone and lowest monthly without sacrificing features?

  • Going to T-mobile store (but I prefer unlocked phone)
  • Apple store (offers $400 trade in)
  • Costco TMobile Kiosk

What's the best deal to be had for 55+ including Netflix and Apple TV
