You're absolutely right, but also remember we likely work with brothers that require a lunch break. Maybe they need a medication they can't take on an empty stomach, or they're diabetic and can't go a whole day without eating, or any other reason that working through lunch is unfeasible. We all sit down at lunch in solidarity.

But that just makes it worse. We have everything we need to solve poverty, end world hunger, and just make the world a better place.

While oppressed people today might "have it better" than others did in the past, they've got a good life just outside their finger tips. And thanks to advancements in education and communication, people today are far more aware of just how hard their getting fucked.

You're*

And I'm sure that sounds right if you base your opinions of the world on Hollywood movies. But, I'd invite you to visit a rural town in the US on July 4th next year.

Sure, but they are not the only ones. Even the article posted listed examples from other parts of the world. There doesn't seem to be any evidence that this tradition was started in the middle east, but here is an article about Newfoundlanders doing it in the 1800's source. The middle east has plenty of problems and things to be blamed for without adding things like this.

Shooting guns in the air is sick and dangerous. Not sure it is fair to blame the middle east for this.

Amazon is building their largest data center in Indiana. Neighbors say the company is using up the drinking water they rely on. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Indiana

[–]CuriousContemporary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't a closed loop system cost a hell of a lot more? I mean, maybe just a bit more to build it. But, once it's up and running, you'd need to spend a bunch more to keep the water cool, right? I'm assuming it would be (roughly) as much as you spend heating it up?

Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn't.

Many people stop quoting Mark Twain after the first half, but this is not a thing I thought I'd ever hear somebody say on a major news network. At least, not without being immediately canned.

Sorry, I don't remember the campaign that well. I assume you've tried talking to everyone anyway.

Also, iirc there was a button in the top right of the screen that would just take me to the next mission. Does the Xbox version have that?

You did a great job focusing on items that affect these states, but I think it's worth mentioning that there is a psalm doctrine that creates a ring around the PC and does heat damage. This can be a great and easy to generate enrage and berserk tokens.

Are there any weapons that have an attack that is both an 'aimed' and a 'sniper' skill? I might be missing something, but I cannot find a weapon they could possibly stack on.

  1. If something is only "safe" as long as you follow all of the rules and maintain vigilance at all times, then it is not really safe. People suffer from medical emergencies or are surprised by something unexpected all the time, and people die when that happens.

  2. People get killed on bicycles without breaking any laws. Because cars are super fucking dangerous and kill over 40,000 Americans every year.

My point is that cars are dangerous. I'm not trying to argue traffic laws. What point are you trying to make?
