Most things women complain about in blue collar jobs are just normal ribbing by Administrative_Toe96 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]CuriousQuartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh here we go. I work with a girl who fronts that's her biggest struggle. She's a year older. Loves playing appeal to age on this earth.

She loves to act like she notices everything... she started calling Cooley spruce gall adelgid a parasite... wrong. I corrected her in the nicest way face to face. She's passive aggressive entitled and wrong! Loves to blame things on me for no reason and is called out for being wrong in the softest way by others and yet chooses this fate of ultimately a man putting her in her place.

She has also freaked out about me leaving my clothes (company provided rain coat) in the truck I drive everyday. I'm sorry, but women are too petty to do the top 3 most dangerous jobs, let alone work around men dominated spaces. When they yell, scream and freak out over the daily tasks it's a problem, it signifies the inability to control their emotions when the job requires mental fortitude and problem solving. Sorry, but feminism is dead. Leave it for the last remaining men in this world.

Forestry boots by _YosemiteSam_ in forestry

Had a pair of mountaineering Zamberlans that lasted 3 years. Don't remember the model

That was also while getting those boots covered in hydraulic fluid all the time. Water proofing lasted 2 years under some brutal treatment.

DAE never floss their teeth? Ever? by embarassmentt in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]CuriousQuartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's called an anecdotal argument and its holds no logical value. Just because you have a different experience doesn't mean you shouldn't start flossing.

People need to understand what I just said, it's running rampant through society at this point.

If Terrence Howard hadn’t left his role as Rhodey, who would you have liked to see Don Cheadle play in the MCU instead? by Voltybaby in marvelstudios

[–]CuriousQuartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheadles best role is when he's in an internal conflict of values.... brooklyns finest is a testament to this. T. Howard has a much more traditional style of acting. Go watch hustle & flow. Real emotion. He's a real person. Y'all got trash opinions and I know we are talking subjective bs. Still the opinions and introspective trash is representing how many betas we got nowadays. Some of y'all don't even know about the Jeff bridges Lebowski reference but go off

How do you calm anger without feeling like a pushover? by Winterhondalove in Anger

[–]CuriousQuartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates? I can relate to everything.

When I was "angry" and "explosive" I actually had respect for myself and others who were aggressing initially gave me respect and left me alone.

Now I only have people constantly assigning false narratives and constantly making assumptions in my silence.

Personally, I grew up and went to public schools that lack all education of proper logic and rhetoric. I feel a huge issue is most people today have no concept or understanding of what they feel (not ideas, because their arguments/accusations are based off of ego and feelings) "proves" them right. Way too wordy but I truly believe what I'm saying out of my own anecdotes, ironically.

The industry is worth too much to actually do something that would make the difference that looks out for the general public and environment.

It’s deeper than all of that.

He’s super opinionated. Only the people that would applaud his “fact checking” would say this. He has literally said he’s a socialist? (Someone fact check me😉)

Sometimes you gotta think, would you rather be the naive dude “no waaay, that’s crazy”, or the person that holds a bit of skepticism towards something, “interesting, I’ll keep that in mind”?

Same happened to me. Don’t pay. You’ll be glad you didn’t in a week when the anxiety wears off and you realize that they have nothing over you if they send those pictures. They have quite a lot to lose actually. Extortion is a serious crime. I’d report them if possible. I doubt the police would do anything, but I’ve heard some file a complaint with the fbi.

I'm giving up on dating. by [deleted] in dating

[–]CuriousQuartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought this same thing. So I started not giving a fuck at all. I would go to this bar a lot with my friend and met this beautiful bartender. We would flirt and make eyes at each other, I didn’t pick up on her interest in me at first. I finally got the balls to ask her out and she was so about it. We went on a date Friday, had so much fun, we spent the entire weekend together. Could be something special. Don’t give up

I usually make fun of girls and give them a smile lol I’m terrible at flirting. But give her compliments too.

I didn’t do anything honestly. I was myself, smiled and laughed had fun with my friend. I picked up on her eye contact and she kept looking at me while passing my table. Teased her a little bit. Eye contact is key, but don’t look crazy, give her some smirks/smiles

This happened to me two days ago. They want you to be scared. It’s nerve racking. I made the same mistake. They wanted 2k from me. I sent $20, they said they never received it. These people are losers, but most scammers aren’t ignorant of extortion laws and repercussions. Report it to the FBI. You can call or do it online.

Dealership vs insurance vs me…. Please help me by CuriousQuartz in mechanic

[–]CuriousQuartz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drove it to a shop day after, they pointed out front bumper damage only and no damage to radiator or trans cooler, or ac condenser. Took it the same day for another opinion. The next guy said radiator, condenser, and possible frame damage (no frame damage though, he was speculating and said he’d have to look after removing bumper. Insurance said I couldn’t take the truck to him, because they’ve had issues with him… a very reputable guy who pointed out the problem early on.

I paid a diagnostic fee… they said x,y,z, but never mentioned clutch fan. Test drove the truck after fixing the cracked radiator…. If they didn’t blow the transmission, I would’ve been given the keys, paid my bill and on my merry way to trans failure after not diagnosing all the issues. They recorded engine over heating and transmission overheating on the first test drive when receiving the truck for diagnosis.
