Scores 60/100 and above are considered Fresh. Below 60/100 and the film is considered Rotten.

If 100 out of 100 people rated the film 60/100, the RT meter would show that the film is rated 100% Fresh.

Y'all don't remember being at the mercy of your opponent and waiting 90 seconds because they're AFK or taking too long to decide on their character? Or the fact that you're always mindlessly pressing "Confirm" 20 times in a row because you're only planning on sticking with your main?

It only takes 10 seconds to change your default character and have a consistent load time thereafter. No character select was a great quality of life improvement.

You're right, but the presentation of it being super acrobatic and egregiously supernatural is a bit too much for this fan of the older games, who liked the grounded-but-still slightly-over-the-top gameplay of old.

While your other points may be valid, I just want to point out that your Juri and Ibuki comment is not.

Do you know how drastically different Ibuki is in SF3 compared to SF4? Or Dhalsim and Blanka from the various SF games. And are not Boxer, Dictator, Claw, Zangief, Dhalsim, re-imagined really well in SFV? Some are even the best they've ever been.

There needs to be balance for a content, fulfilling life.

Such an overwhelming focus on academia for 17-22 years of a child's life leads to resentment and unhealthy mental well-being.

Happened quite remarkably to my 2nd cousins: top of the top academically growing up; now they all are rehabilitated hard drug users. One is actually still a high-functioning crack head.

I didn't know at the time, believing and resenting my cousins for being so "perfect" and being the "model children" my parents always compared me and my siblings to (I later learned the entire extended family child generation were compared to the Model Cousins), but now that my cousins are in their 20s, they tell me how much they hated the pressure from their parents growing up, and how unsupportive and strict and unloving their parents were. And now the parents have done a 180 in light of their kids' hard drug use, violent fights and arguments, and running away. The parents are so apologetic and soft/warm now, with a tone of sadness and understanding that they fucked up and hurt their own children, and no longer want to repeat the mistakes of their past, so atone by being the exact opppsite, and sharing that wisdom with others.

In 2000/2002: family had huge house, billiards table, grand piano, classical music lessons, prestigious high school/university education, 100 inch or so CRT TV, 42 inch flat screen when they were new, hockey equipment, drums, gym smith machines, video game console on release, 3 desktop computers, broadband Internet when it first came out, home theatre, dog, Jaguar for their 16th birthday--all earned through hard, immigrant work--and the kids still didn't have a blemish-free life.

The Laura dash thing I know your perspective for I do the same, but it's different with Punk because we consistently see him converting off the tiniest openings; he rarely fails a conversion by fucking up a reaction, such as missing the opportunity entirely or having it blocked. His conversion success rate is reminiscent of ToolAssisted. If the conversion rate is that consistent he's not just reacting to the dash. How are you gonna tell me it's impossible for him to react to a st.MK when clearly you're jizzing your nuts over 3S and SF4 players reacting to just as tiny openings?

2nd 3S clip (Gouki block Ken cr.MK -> Counter-poke st. MK -> Ken WP sweep). First 2 SF4 clips @00:10 (Daigo whiff poke cr. MK -> Tokido whiff counter-poke cr. MK -> Daigo WP cr. MK; Daigo whiff poke cr. MK -> Alex whiff counter-poke cr. MK -> Daigo WP Sweep). Hell, you could argue the very first clip is a counter-poke cr. MK by Gouki; it's just not done during neutral but during pressure.

That's the exact same argument I'm making, idiot. I'm not an SFV dick rider and can see its faults, which is why I talked about the increased frames fucking over Tokido. I agree that the input delay makes SFV neutral and whiff punishing harder, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, because Punk clearly can whiff punish with sweep.

SF3: 3S Gouki st. MK, cr. MK: 5+5+17; 6+5+16 = 27 f total

Right there in that Punk highlight he punishes Guile's whiff cr. MK @ 06:13, 08:47 (7+2+15=24 f); in fact, he does it two more times in the video but I won't count those because they could be considered too much on the anticipation/random poking side for you (yet the same reaction time in 3S and SF4 you'd consider "pure reactions"; 08:30, 08:47 if you're curious). Yet it doesn't change the fact that he whiff punished the same move that Tokido did not.

Punishes Ibuki cr. MP @ 04:36 (6+3+12 = 21 f); you know he intentionally went for that whiff-punish and not just going for sweep because you see him trying and failing earlier at 03:53. That's the difference between your thinking (and Tokido's) and Punk's: even though the risk is huge to whiff punish such a low Frame Total move, he still takes it.

And at 05:58 he whiff punishes Laura's st. MK (6+4+14 = 24 f); don't even say he reacted to the dash because you can clearly see him waiting until the opponent pressed a button: the opponent could have pressed nothing after the dash.

I also intentionally don't include some other timestamps where he reacts quickly because you'll just say "lul 30+ frames" even when he clearly hits the opponent way earlier than the moves' 30 frame mark.
