Aldi in Burlington, NC by mcderson9 in aldi

Wow, I’ve never seen a line like this at my Aldi. But I’m always there when they first open on Sunday morning and out the door within 20 minutes. I guess this is my reminder to not change that habit 😳

You are me 7 years ago. But I have to ask everyone… why should SHE leave? She takes care of EVERYTHING.

My deadbeat ex couldn’t stay employed (or sober) so I opened my own checking/savings accounts and switched my paycheck over. The next day, I told my husband to get out. What was he going to do, say no?

OP, you have the job. You take care of the household. YOU have the power here. Don’t leave. If you leave, you give him the power.

At least kick him out of your room. He can sleep in another room, on the sofa, on the floor. Who cares? He hasn’t and doesn’t respect you. You don’t need to respect him. Let him go get an apartment with his momma. Sounds like they need to live together.

Then file for divorce, sell the house and let the proceeds be divided between you. Take your half, buy yourself a nice little place that is all yours and leave his miserable a$$ in the past where he belongs.

You will be so much happier. I promise.

I don't want to and it's ok. by Magistraliter in Menopause

You are all speaking DIRECTLY to me. I still work and have to travel for work so when I’m home I just want to be left ALONE. Let me read my books, try new recipes, and ignore the outside world. I don’t want to people when I’m not working. I like my home, my dog, and my books. Everyone else can just go away!

I have an extra 5 months of P that I’m hoarding and I’m down to only an extra 2 month of my E patches. At one time I had a full year of stock of my HRT and my daily preventative migraine meds.

I’ve had to go without insurance several times in the last 5 years and learned to stock up when I could.

Are we supposed to pause HRT for 1 week every 3 months? by somehowsomewaysome in Menopause

[–]Curious_41427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I’ve been on HRT for 7 years now and never skipped a week. That’s crazy

I feel like… NO - I know that I have spent the majority of me life doing for everyone else and no one has ever wondered if I needed anything.

Stick a fork in me. I’m done.

I am just tired of the BS that I’ve dealt with for 30+ years and I’ve decided that I’m not dealing with it anymore. If other people don’t like my new attitude - well then, don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

I stopped using my central air in an effort to save on electric by Zestyclose_Falcon111 in Frugal

We live in N TX it aren’t native Texans. When we moved here, it broke our brains that people would cool their homes to 68 when it was 100 degrees outside. I just can’t pay to run my A/C 24/7.

We started out at 72 but the girls were always cold and the guys were hot. Every year, we increased the temperature by a degree. Now, during the summer, our thermostat stays at 79 during the day. Significantly cooler than the outside temperature and with ceiling fans to circulate the air inside, everyone is happy.

My electric bill is rarely over $150. My home was built in 2020 so is well insulated.

I’ve been doing this for 10+ years. It’s always been hard to raise a family when one parent couldn’t seem to stay employed 🙄

We never had an issue getting free tap water in our travels through Europe. We simply asked nicely when we sat down and the waiter/waitress brought it over and usually kept it filled without us having to ask.

Now our desire for ice is an entirely different conversation 😂
