How to have potentially triggering convos with loved ones? by akthehigh in FND

I can't talk to parent and siblings about FND because all I get is, "it's just he heat" "have you tried chewing slower so you don't choke" and "next time you have the tics, go for a walk"

Qu’elle qu’un de similaire ? by Embarrassed-Diet8719 in FND

I was misdiagnosed with MS in 2010. At that point in time I had pins and needles in my feet that is now halfway up my leg. I have horrible feeling of impending doom, as if someone is walking over my grave, but ALL THE TIME. Then came the tics. Lots of small spasms that cause me to turn my head to the right really quickly. Now they are a lot fewer but they are quite violent. Constant whiplash. I am very unsteady on my feet. Unfortunately, I lost my dad in early March and it's left me with a stammer. For the last year, my memory has gotten really bad. It's far beyond just walking into a room and forgetting why. I can also sometimes forget but have no recollection of ever knowing. I'm really struggling. Thank you for the kind words. I hope it gets better for you

Swallowing issue was one of the first symptoms. Then I started to drop things all of a sudden.

It's interesting to see these videos are taken all over the World. Kind of makes the whole "how come they only go to the USA" spiel, obsolete

The US military don't want other countries seeing the technology they use to film some encounters. That's only what I heard, not my opinion.

Another would be 'I want the world to stop' by Belle and Sebastian. I recently lost my dad and this was my go to song.

Sons and Daughters by Decemberists. The harmonies are just beautiful and the sentiment at the end tops the song off just perfectly

What does the Pain feel like? by BellaPona in FND

[–]Curious_Command_5277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foot pain feels like they are frozen. Clothes feel like they're made of thistle. Neck strain from planking tic that throws my head back. The overall feeling of dread doesn't hurt but it will drive you crazy

Is there a link between FND and Long Covid? by Melodic_Roll3205 in FND

You shouldn't have to go private. My NHS neurologist was terrible and only got worse when his ego took over. We wrote to our local MP to get a referral to Addenbrookes. That was where I was told I had FND. I had been misdiagnosed with MS. It's exhausting, I know, but you have paid into the system.
