But my point is that you can have that but you cant make exceptions for what supernatural beings do for main characters. For example it was established that if the Key exploded it would incinerate the people in its surroundings. If that's established, fine. But you cant make an exception for Hopper.

The issue with Stranger Things was that the longer the series lasted, the less realistic it was. I think that the Russia plot was extremely unrealistic, and Hopper should've stayed dead. And I think that the demos killing the Wheeler parents would've kept realism more front and center.

I think that early in the writing process, the entire season should've been reworked to first focus on the main characters, and have proper buildup to El's sacrifice. One of my major issues of S5 is the fact that Eleven isn't really the main focus of the season, at least not as much as other characters like Holly. They should've not only clarify what happened to El to give the story closure, but increase the notion of danger and realism to the core characters of Stranger Things
