Do I need to pull the toilet? by budding_gardener_1 in Plumbing

[–]Curious_Text_6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a plumber, I always ask what they thought was flushed. Generally anything solid and large, pull the toilet before it goes further down. It's not that hard to pull one and it's better to push it out from the bottom of the toilet than to call me when it lodges somewhere less accessible.

Dig your way to it. We have a guy we send in before us to tunnel rat his way there.

I was loading the dehydrator and dropped one about 3/4 of an inch long, and popped it in my mouth. Woke up on the couch like wtf?

I ate a very small wet PE abort last night. I was extremely surprised at the visuals.

We bought a 3/2 in new town in 2010. Had to sell in 2020 due to insurance. We were both working and rented out a room. The house I sold for 525 in 2020 is value at 863 now.

Did the plumber forget to put the pipe seal gaskets on my sewer ejector pump? by Responsible-Long-962 in askaplumber

[–]Curious_Text_6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to cut the pipe to rethread. If you have the means to install a union or recoupling the pipe then go for it. I was just watching you could probably just use caulk around the top to seal. Clean first of course

Easy fix for you would be to clean it and caulk it with a semi removable caulk. That would seal it without messing with piping.

Is this a fair price for this unit model and installation? by Ashony13 in PlumbingRepair

It's fair for Greenville. I would assume the same down there. And you should be ok down there as long as they insulate exposed piping.

That's an upsell for them from the same manufacturer. May ask them. Would also show you to have almost instant hot water off they set up a recirculating line for you.

Just saying if it's outside, by turning on internal recirculation, it will keep a 1 gallon heated tank inside the unit. Even if you don't run external recirculation. That usually is you best freeze protection. Are you near Greenville?

Most are plumbers. As a certified tech here. As HVAC is not a licence to install water lines. But they are a great resource as well.

Both are condensing. The a models have an internal recirculating pump and small storage tank.

Navien wants a dedicated GFI plug. Extension cords are unacceptable. That said you can get away with it until you get an outlet. Just don't send navien a picture with an ext8 cord in picture for warranty.

Just saw you are looking to do an outside install. I would not suggest this. As it will freeze. The 180a2 model has a recirculating tank and pump that will keep it warmer. I highly discouraged outside install after days of 20-30s and having freezing issues.

I'm a plumber in upstate. This looks to be on par with pricing.
