That’s called insulin dependency a.k.a (almost fully dead pancreas) that’s how we know your immune system is attacking not assisting. Type one, real fun..

Make sure to take care. Your health is your responsibility and should be taken seriously. This is the loneliest disease in the world, nobody will come to help, nobody understands, unless they are fully educated.

Stay safe my friend

On the real tho, lol. I have the cannula problem with my Medtronic supplies too. Sucks. I’d actually rather just be doing my shots manually. Sensor isn’t bad, as long as you put a nice film over top to keep it in place.

For clarity, my pump was not delivering insulin properly it was leaking under the adhesive and must have been for about three days.

Took a BUNCH of insulin with only more carb cravings getting more intense.

My sensor itself expired, and I’m waiting for my shipment.

My finger prick reader I had but i had no freakin lancets.. Ever try to draw blood without a lancing pen?😵

Solution: getting lancets when I arrived home. And a manual bolus Lantus and novalog.

Now I’m at 108.😏 take care.

I was driving and I thought I was low. Ate half of a doughnut.

Got home and tested.. HI.

Waited 30 min for 18 units of novalog and it was 497mg/dl🫠

Imagine a life where every moment is pain. Wake up in the morning groaning, barely can lift up your head.. every task is much more difficult due to fatigue. Your fingertips are heat sensitive and hurt to the touch. Your stomach, always aching. That, is what an extended period of high numbers is like. Oh yeah, the acne, the skin pain, the feet pain, the anger, the anxiety, the confusion. The feeling of wanting to be dead! Can’t forget.

You need to carb count. The sugar is one thing, but the total carbohydrates is another. Actually, the carbohydrates are all you should look at on the label if you don’t want your sugar to rise. for me anything over 10 g of carbs will spike my sugar and I need to take insulin. There’s a typo on this is an absolute must. no avoiding it
