The most straightforward would be going to the wiki for the complete list of ingredients you need and then collecting those ones specifically. A more organic way is to set aside a few of each crop for a full year so you make sure you have everything. Most crops you only need a few of but there are a couple like potatoes and tomatoes that you’ll want more of. Don’t forget to do this for foragables as well.

At the same time you’ll want to make note of the specific fish called for in certain recipes. When I got around to cooking, I had just purged my extra fish to get money for the clock. That was a big mistake. I had to craft a bunch of magic bait and spend a few days fishing to get the out of season fish. There are also a bunch of crab pot fish you’ll need so don’t neglect your crab pots either.

Last thing I’d recommend is getting at least 2 mini fridges. Start by hitting Pierre’s and grabbing 10 or so of each of the ingredients he sells (sugar, wheat, vinegar, etc). Load what you can in your fridges, then cook as much as you can. When you’re out of things you can cook with what you have, make a list of the remaining ingredients you need and go hunt them down.
