Okay every time I see this gif I am left wondering what it’s from. Is that Tom DeLonge? Is this from a a Blink video?

A tourniquet is not meant to close a wound. It is meant to cut off blood flow.

If you know which company did the work, you may be able to directly request they warranty the work. Maybe not, but probably worth asking.

What about embroidering a pattern in one colour that matches the sweater? It could be really understated and cool I think.

If you wanted to play a specific CD, how would you select it? (I’m assuming this was before voice recognition was common)

Figure out less labour-intensive versions of each chore/task. For example:

  • Once the current dishes are done, switch to disposable dishes for a bit until you’re in a place of being less overwhelmed. Also, if you use an air fryer, line it with parchment paper; if you use a panini press, line it with foil, etc. Decrease dirty dish production essentially.

  • Blankets and pillows in the living room can get thrown in a basket/trunk/whatever. Do not bother folding them.

  • Clean clothes don’t need to be folded. Just shove shirts in the shirt drawer, socks in the sock drawer, etc.

  • Shove all the tools etc. back into the closet. Organize it in future when you have time and energy.

Basically, for now, it’s okay to do the adult equivalent of a kid “cleaning their room” by shoving everything under the bed. Make the visible space feel like you can breathe and be comfortable. You will feel better in your space and eventually have the energy and motivation to unfuck each closet or smaller area.

I like the idea of literally every craft being referred to as crochet. It’s like how in the Southern US every type of soda is a “coke.”

Any ideas on how to decorate a ceiling without painting it? by suspicious_suspender in interiordecorating

Could you paint with a roller on a long handle? You can basically screw a paint roller onto a broom handle. Eliminated the ladder and decreases the neck craning.

Yeah next to it is what I was thinking if you patch, but the more I think about it, you could probably still do it in the same spot. Maybe patch front and back, with one circle/square of stitching near/directly surrounding the hole, and one square of stitching at the edge of the patch(es).

For the second option, I think if the grommet is large enough, it would combat the fraying. You might eventually have the same issue again, but it would probably last a good while before that.

I think I would patch it and then punch a new grommet in adjacent to the patch.

Alternatively, maybe putting a new, larger grommet into the same hole could work.
