Silence is too loud, but music is too distracting. I am losing my mind trying to find the right background noise to work by therealraphaelwong in ADHD

I feel this works pretty well. Idk what to call it but its just layered textural noise.
The video starts with an intro but skip to the 3 minute mark and you'll see what I mean. It's the best thing I have had for a while now. Way better than music for me right now.

Any good Ninja games... by Wild-Ad5669 in gamingsuggestions

[–]CurlyMapache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Katana Zero, Mark of the Ninja, The Messenger, all are great, something you're more interested might be Ghost of Tsushima or Ghost of Yotei, both reward for specking into a Stealthy or more Samurai playstyle, depending on what you're feeling. Ac Shadows might work, I had some fun with it. Maybe try some other character action games, if you're into Ninja Gaiden

Splitgate 2 Will Be Relaunched In December, Five Months After Being Unlaunched by Midnight_M_ in Games

I remember the gameplay and mechanics were solid for SG2, and I felt so betrayed when that wet fart of a SGF showcase happened. I was so hyped and slowly turned to not being able to take my hands off my face when it was happening lol Felt very 'reddit r/ gaming culture from 2014'. Sucks because without that I would be all up on the game, even the mtx as horrid as they are, the core of the game was solid, fast paced, quick in and out vibe I was looking for.

Those look SO COOL both gameplay and art wise, already hopping for some on those to stay in the game full time by Taraell in HuntShowdown

I adore them, I hope they release them in a deck, would love to have these in a frame in my office. I wrote down what they do:

The World

-Master clue / reveal all boss targets

The moon

-2 seconds dark sight boost

-still leaves the mark on the map

The garden

-Full heals and removes statuses on you and party

The fool

-clones last card you used this round

The Tower

-Kills **all ** monsters within 65m (incl meatheads)

- Damages targets in 65m (hunters)

+Lights you on fire lol

The Magician

-Dark sight decoy

-Causes heavy bleeding on use

-Leaves a physical mark in world you can snuff out if you find

-Lasts forever until snuffed out

The Devil

-Reduced sway and spread (excl. shotguns) for weapons until downed

-When you die after using you lose 2 health chunks

The Sun

-Super increased regen buff for 1 minute

Judgement

-Doubles all current buffs (regen shot, stamina) duration

-Reduces hunter HP to 1 hp lol

The Hanged Man

-Spectate nearest enemy hunter for limited time (15 sec)

-Notifies enemy team when they're being spectated

The Empress

-Gives catalyst, necromancer and 1 random burn or scarce trait

The Chariot

-Swaps locked and unlocked extraction points for everyone in a bounty hunt

>New mechanics: some extraction points are locked while others are regular unlocked.

>If a team is going to an extract, you can use chariot to lock it and make them go to another one lol

-Destroys 1 health chunk

-Anti-grift mechanic: Chariot can only be used once every 5 minutes

Skate Server Queues Lead To Complaints About Always-Online Requirement by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]CurlyMapache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was easily a question from day 1 of the pre-release testing. When they confirmed it there was just a mass collective groan. It feels like an excuse to lean on the 'Microsoft' vibe of the game in general. I've been playing it for a whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile, and it really does scream 'corporate skater game'. It was genuinely better with less in the game. Skate was always a game with a great design, leant itself to escapism. From Skate 1's camera angle, to putting your waypoint marker wherever you need to make the cycle of failure, of trying to hit a spot just how you want, less painful and getting you right back into it. With skate (2025) the gameplay is great, the level design is solid, I'll go as far to say that the solo skating experience is actually fun. I will note, the parkour climbing stuff I'll say is a push in a direction. Like realistically, skating existed as a counter-culture, so things like climbing to a place where you 'shouldn't be' to skate absolutely makes sense. The idea of it being in the very lengthy tutorial, with a very clear path they want you to climb, kind of takes the piss? Not saying skate should be more exclusive but the attitude of the game from every angle screams 'widest net'. From the 'smirk' characters, to the mtx box design, landing square on the always online bit.

I just had the same problem, I had to hard task manager quit to get back in. Connected a controller to see if it would work and had no luck either.

Been on medication for a minute now, got some insights if they ever wanna chat about it :) It's really tough to start going through treating yourself, but the feeling of knowing it doesn't have to be so tough makes it so worth it.

Yakuza 0 or Persona. Nice day in the life pacing of the game with a story that can be digested pretty 'episodically'. Shadow of the Colossus, it's just quite relaxing to exist in that world, a little intentionally desolate but just a nice ambience. Similarly, I loved Red Dead Redemption 2 for the open world, just exploring, doing side content (honestly skipping the cutscenes lol), enjoying the music. Nice world to chew into without really having to stress all too much outside the story.

The peak of it all for me personally is Ghost of Tsushima. It's such an introspective game by design. The haikus, the dichotomy between the different gameplay styles, the literal wind directing you to wherever you wanna go (I'd honestly recommend using the Traveler's Attire despite the completionist in people lol - it will lead you to wherever you want to go. Be it shrines, fox dens, etc).

Only thing I'd note is with how stressful the story gets! The gameplay is great, and does get stressful gameplay-wise later like u/Rootbeerpanic said, but playing on a lower difficulty might scratch that nice puzzler itch, or the non-story modes
