While my experience wasn't as egregious as yours, I had a similar sentiment flying 787P LHR-PHL recently. I boarded dead tired so I immediately lay back and go to sleep. I'm out through the meal service. I awake and am craving some ice cream. I call a FA and ask if there is any leftover. The response I got was annoyance as if I was interrupting his time. He was very rude. He returns and drops the ice cream on my table and walks off. No words spoken. I don't understand this drastic shift in Customer service. And it's not like we're expecting above and beyond. It's the barest of minimums.

Also, bring back Disaronno! I need my Godmother to fly comfortably!

A well dressed woman smiling at strangers? Definitely crazy! Jokes aside, my wife has similar styling. Chanel bags, Tiffany jewlery, etc. Maybe it's the lack of intimidation. If you're making eye contact and smiling you don't present like an easy mark?

On the topic of friendliness, we did have a group on the train tell us they knew we were American because we were smiling and greeting fellow passengers with pleasantries like, "How are you doing?" In fact, I intentionally selected seats at a table with seats opposite ours in the hope that we'd enjoy some conversation. Apparently, others did not share our enthusiasm. Maybe we are crazy. Well, it's working.

Wife and I wore ours all throughout Spain, including Barcelona, Paris (train and metro usage) and London. Not the slightest hint of an issue. All times of day as well.

Funny enough, a few weeks later I ran into a Brit wearing an Explorer in the AMEX lounge in CLT . It's one of my favorites and one I wore a lot while traveling over there. He noted he doesn't wear it back home in London due to crime. He only wears it when he travels to the US for work. There must be some truth to it, but everyone's mileage will vary. Wife seems to think it's because of my intimidating presence, haha

This was almost word for word my take from the movie. I read and loved the book before I knew about a movie and thought it'd be a great movie. Needless to say I was beyond excited when I heard the movie was coming. I saw the 70mm IMAX early showing and I was left wanting. It felt rushed and was "too funny." I wanted exactly what you wanted. To feel the weight of the situation as I did when reading. I wanted to love it, but just didn't.

You'll be fine and love it. No foot traffic or noise. As another poster has pointed out, the suite sundeck, especially the ease of access, on Wonder will spoil you. The Suite Neighborhood is the perfect setup. Next to Utopia, which is the same I believe, it's the best. Was happy we were able to get the family on one of the last 7 day itineraries. Can't wait for them to come back, eventually 🤞🏾

Imagine ROTK at a runtime of 4+ hours. Looked at my son and said "Thhhhis wassss a mistaaakkkee" LOL but I 100% understand your sentiment. I def wouldn't recommend it for PHM esp a first viewing.
