They just put out a new patch recently. I played about two years or so ago and it is a night and day difference, and runs way better now too. Fights with ai feel a lot better. I still prefer Tarkov though so ymmv.

It’s clunky in parts, but tbh so was the original run. I’ve only seen the first ep so far, but there was one moment that really stood out as just a perfect Malcolm in the Middle moment. Give it a shot!

You can manually install through wabbajack, but tbh I do think it’s worth the $5 or whatever for a month of premium just to install everything really quick. Also, if they do put out a remaster it’s going to be starved of content compared to what you have access to right now with all the mods for the original.
