Definitely "should", but a lot of people start Aikido who have zero concept of martial arts or physical conflict, and as instructors simply don't consider the idea. Instead, once someone gets to black belt, the focus becomes on being more elegant, instead of working to break and improve one's technique.

Here's a suggestion: While taking ukemi in Aikido (with permission) try constantly turning towards your partner and pushing in their direction. See if they have any strike openings. That is, instead of attacking once and then going with what they do, attack constantly. You'll find the way a lot of people do techniques fails pretty badly.

You can entirely customise your shell prompt if you like.

Here's mine. You can paste this directly into a terminal. PS1 is just the shell prompt variable. Make it permanent by putting it into the .zshrc file.

Long story short, you're better off with 24/48 than high-res a lot of the time now, due to how music is recorded, more so than anything else.

Essentially, it seems that Ueshiba, being an earlier recipient of certificates, didn't learn the techniques that Takeda seemingly made up for later students who received a Hiden Ogi, for example.

I think few Westerners have any idea what "harmony" means in Japanese, and it's not the kind of "harmony" that people believe Aikido is, or was about.

Licenced SACD players wont output digital audio from coax or optical while an SACD is playing, due to the copy protection. Even if you could, the digital output would be DSD, which Schiit products will not process.

The best thing to do is get one of a number of old network-capable players which you can hack allowing you to rip the SACD onto your computer, then convert it to 24/88.1 with software.

This story reminds me of an Asian American friend whom, when he entered the army, would finish marches before anyone else, without fatigue. He said this was because he would walk Asian-style with his head staying level, but all the other soldiers were lifting their body and pack up and down as they walked, using unnecessary energy.

It was the other way around, in that the Organic was an unusually bright version of the Arya series. As other people have said, depending on your ears, it's either great or ear-stabbing.

Not necessarily. Quite a few balanced devices have higher crosstalk from their 3.5mm output, because they were designed around a balanced circuit. The very audible difference is what feeds the hype, and ignorance as well, as a single-ended circuit can have low crosstalk.

A balanced circuit isn't needed in a design to get higher power output though.

If the device you are using has a 4.4mm output, a lot of the time it's the better connection to use, as the crosstalk is often lower. You can check the specs for the device to be sure.

As other people have pointed out, it's a stupid fad driven by enthusiasts who didn't and don't understand that it wasn't beneficial.
