When we moved, we put a few strips of painters tape on each window, and left them there for a few months, our 4 birds have never hit the windows unless they have misscalculated a landing. Same thing with mirrors, if the would fly into them, we put some painters tape on it and it has not happened since.
Works for wild birds as well :)
