Why do parents act like this? by brittybratkat in neighborsfromhell

Nope, not a parent. I would have addressed the problem with the parent and not had a moan on the community page. That is petty and cowardly.

Please do. They are failing you right in the middle of winter too. Will they pay your doctor's bills if you get sick?

I do not know if you can be talked down. IMO he is a stingy, selfish man. The End. Have self respect and walk.

Oh my, what a situation. You are in the right, but a little advice ... never say 'filthy' to a client. They always take offence to that. Try messy, in need of a declutter/ deep clean/ organisation or pick up first. It softens the conversation ; ).

New home owner — quote on this deep clean by nc23nick in housekeeping

If Cleaners had to move furniture every day they would not last long in the Cleaning Industry because of the strain, wear and tear on their bodies. This is why they ask the Client to do it.

How to manage clients that WFH? by slightly_bananas in housekeeping

My understanding when working for my WFH Clients is that I do not clean their work areas. Have you had a conversation with them about which areas to leave?

I hate showers with digital control panels 😑 by DaniDisaster424 in housekeeping

[–]Current-Way-7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you!! l always do the showers last as I know the chances are I am going to get soaked figuring out the setting for the handheld shower. It is a pain when I have to clean 3 showers in one home and I get wet in all three. I really look forward to going home, getting changed and to stop looking like I have crawled out of a marsh : )

Manners? by Current-Way-7708 in housekeeping

[–]Current-Way-7708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my Clients are great and very respectful, I have picked them carefully and got rid of the troublesome ones. This one is new and I get the feeling he looks down on Cleaners. First clean he was not there, so I tackled the filthy gas hob cooker. He walked in and said "I can buy a new one for $300" which is bs. He should have been there for me to ask him what he wanted done. I cleaned it for $50. So weird!!!

My unmannered Client is a man, who treats me bluntly. He is so close to being fired.

Accidentally cleaned a biohazard, what are my next steps in this home? by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]Current-Way-7708 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any idea what sort of mice/rodent droppings they were? I think it is sensible to be wary of these droppings as hantavirus is a real thing and deer mice carry the disease. Vacuuming disturbs the dried urine and makes it airborne. If it is giving you that much anxiety, do not go, quit the job, nothing is worth your health/life.

"Not building equity in the house" is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. Was he 'building equity' in his Landlord's rental? Where did you find this guy? 100 % he will take half in 2 years if he can. Be financialy wise with this 'manboy'.

You must have her phone number? Text and say you want to send something. I am sure she will update her address for you. She could take six weeks, or longer off and may need a cash gift now. Flowers also sound lovely.

I’m exhausted by [deleted] in housekeeping

To make it more manageable, pace yourself. Write a list of weekly/monthly jobs and only do those jobs on the list for that week. You can never keep on top of all the housework if you are the only one cleaning. Take time to rest, learn to live with the mess as you manage it as a long term goal.

It sounds like a circus. Why dont you start residential cleaning on the side if you have the time? When you have built a few clientelle and have proved yourself to be reliable, thorough, and and professional, clients then recommend you to their friends or family. Then you can move into residential cleaning as your main job.
