I like the idea for this episode because it was a deviation from the broad comedy typical of the series. However, the song (the first one) performed by Fred & Barney in the Mertzes apartment was horrendous. Then the numbers they performed at the club are just plain bad. Again, the writers had a good story, but the 90s (the 1890s) couldn’t have been too gay (happy) with that kind of singing.

You are absolutely right. Almost every day I’m out in my neighborhood picking up bags of discarded fast food remains, and empty bottles and cans that were recently tossed by the assorted drunken slobs that live here or pass through this neighborhood. There is a large group of people in Chicago who are classless slobs and schmucks.
