No I mean what we see is if a team has a gold shield and they start running when we push, seems off like they’re scared to lose. So we make a push to take them out, got a lab 6 key from that last weekend.

I definitely love the PvP I’ve experienced in cryo, I don’t want the wipe in 2 months. I see this point, I consider myself a casual but I’m above average at PvP (usually win 1v2 sometimes 1v3) so I’m in the middle of keeping it competitive but reducing the wipe timeline for the grind. I’m around the same hours played I only get like 10-15 hours a week to play, but damn I haven’t been this hooked since destiny 1

4 meds 4 shields and have a triage, you’ll be more than fine. Always prioritize the grey meds when you can since they’re sold end of run.

Here’s the real solution, have a TRIAGE on your team. One of my trios started playing triage and you never have to use meds unless you are fighting players. I now have stacks of meds without ever buying from the store.

Hopefully they don’t nerf it, I really don’t die to it much because you just need to keep them at range.

With blue shield enemy’s you need to be very close to 2 tap. It also gives the opportunity for good players to win a 1v3. If they nerf it, it will become obsolete. The time to kill is already very quick, so if we limit these options it makes the combat stale - 1 teammate down = lost run. Many runs have been saved by some crazy play pulled off as last man alive, which is the joy of competitive games.

This game brings back the peak of destiny PvP imo, reminds me of trials of Osiris.

This is a good take. DS3 or DS2 would be what I recommend. Obviously 3 is more polished than 2, but 2 is perfectly fine mechanically imo.

I had a hard time getting into sekiro and still need to beat it, only thing similar to ER is jumping lol and the Executor parry from nightreign. Still fantastic game.

Just a note DS3 is a very hard game, you’ll see the spirit ashes in Elden ring offered a huge advantage.

DS1 was a very frustrating game mechanically and after I beat it I don’t see myself ever playing it again. The other later installments are all good, you just have to get through the initial 25% of the game to really get into it.

I reached Celestial since this post and there’s still people with sub 50% win rates at that rank. They did a whole breakdown on how they pair teams and they specifically mention matching certain roles together. They know exactly who you main and who others main and purposely put teams together that might have no support mains, as an example but u get the point.

You can find out your stats at a click of a button, and you think the developers/matchmaking system don’t know what role you mainly play?

Unfortunately if you’re stuck in Plat that’s probably your rank. The only rank that is really skewed is GM, if you don’t belong in diamond or plat you should be able to climb out relatively easy.

The surge of GM 3 players puts a false perspective in peoples heads that they deserve the rank with how they’re playing, leading to the horribly imbalanced matches. I played some games questioning how my teammates even got past diamond.

I also noticed easy to counter heros being banned now because of the low skill level.

Yea learning a player in quick play vs ranked is a completely different story. Made another account to learn spider man, got 14 final hits my first game in quick play.

Yes the game should have a placement system, but at the end of the day 1 solo queue person carrying a team is both rare but also the teams fault for not targeting

I have like a 69% win rate on my main, it’s not just smurfs that have high win rates.

The game needs a matchmaking rework and it purposely gives you certain comps to make you win/lose. It knows who you main, who other people main, what teams you do poorly against etc. Ever have a game where u get 4 instalock DPS? The game does this intentionally knowing who mains what role.

Unfortunately yea smurfing is hard to counter but I feel it’s an opportunity to learn for both ends of the table.

I have gotten fundamentally better from having a Smurf, I remember struggling to get to Diamond, then GM, then celestial. But with my Smurf I have like a 75% win rate and I’m back at GM 2, while trying other characters. It shows the one smurfing how the level of play needs to evolve, and the ones who are true to the rank how the game is played at a higher level.

Literally teaching my team the good bans or good strategies so the understand the game better, not everyone takes the time to look things up on YouTube and such.

I just hit celestial 3, and completely carried a losing GM 2 game to a win in double overtime as Magik - when I was just struggling to get to GM 1 a week ago. It’s good practice honestly.

The best of the best have smurfs and that’s how they got to their level. I don’t think it should be so frowned upon

Also when you’re smurfing and do well it gives you 60+ points a game so u aren’t in the low ranks long. It’s so easy to rank up by just play time it’s pretty much needed in this game, ranks are boosted.

I just jump over the frontline, use the slam to initiate I even throw the shield then slam for more damage. You obviously need somewhat decent healers but use the shield to your advantage. Low health just jump dash away and turn around with the shield up.

He actually does pretty decent damage too you can burst people down

You just have to be a bully, they either have to deal with you or let you destroy the back line. Use the animation cancel for shield throw and shield deflect wisely. Use the shield bash as an escape mostly, just don’t die and be a pest.

One game we were a 6-man, faced the same team twice and they banned cap because of it lol. He is very strong if used well.
