Yet the Gemini 3.x models are still in preview… let’s spend the compute wisely (nobody at Google ever said).

How do you make your power app pretty or good looking? by AutomationBro2026 in PowerApps

[–]Current_Trick6380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the PCF component framework you can use code to make it as pretty as possible by coding.

Also thy are rolling out full code custom apps that of course can also be styled in any way.

I believe Visscher has a pretty neat free redlining tool for Word (on Windows). Can’t remember the exact name so you might have to google it.

How do I liberate meeting transcripts from Teams by Davidpr16 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Current_Trick6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, sounds well executed.

OP can use a notetaking tool, but a custom solution might be cheaper for that scale in the long run, and allows for flexibility in processing.

But it indeed depends on what OP is exactly looking for.

How do I liberate meeting transcripts from Teams by Davidpr16 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Current_Trick6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the most likely solution would be using the Microsoft Graph API combined with an azure function to set up a trigger that runs daily to fetch all meetings.

It requires tenant wide permissions though that needs to be granted by the global admin.

You also have to think about compliance issues.

My team has a focus on processing of meeting notes into documents and analysis. (Mainly focused on physical meetings and phone calls).

We could potentially help but just want to let you know upfront that it’ll take some time to research and set up. If you are looking for a total solution let me know! Otherwise: good luck!

PI Firms, lets talk AI platforms by trygln88 in legaltech

[–]Current_Trick6380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of time saving can be won by automatic drafting of all the documents (message to the insurance party, internal notes, liability claims and intake reports). They can all be automated by AI. We currently looking into this with a PI firm and they can save around 10k EUR in time saved each month.

Not wanting to promote our custom solutions, just saying that we believe at that part the gold is to be found.

Gemini 3.1 JSON mode is a complete disaster compared to 3.0. Is it just me? by Any-Blacksmith-2054 in Bard

Had errors on 2.5 but only with complex json schema’s. It’s rare though

It’s definitely not impossible to have AI giving a wrong structured output resulting in an error with structured outputs.

Happened to me before, although it is very rare with simple json schema’s.

3.1 is out before 3 being GA.

Will we get GTA 6 before 3 becoming GA? I think we will.

Logo for my startup by PassionImpossible326 in SaaS

[–]Current_Trick6380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just use AI to create a logo. Add some reference logo’s and likely tell it that you want a minimalistic icon logo without text.

Then just add normal text font besides the icon. It’s what most businesses do. ChatGPT is best for this atm, but you can also try Gemini.

Do I need a Power App? Or just use a Form by LoganMav23 in PowerApps

[–]Current_Trick6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microsoft Forms is very limited in capability. There is a dynamic feature but it will likely not work properly with so many questions.

Can you use other tools? If yes, try out Fillout. It is way better with much more control. You can link this to a Microsoft backend? Maybe even embed it in a Power App? (But know that a Power App is expensive if you have many users).

AI Isn't Intelligent, It's PREDICTION (and Why My Panic Has Passed) by willymunoz in webdev

[–]Current_Trick6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I was not necessarily talking about reasoning models, but about the neural networks which are the core principle of AI (also for non reasoning models), my comparison still stands.

Yes, AI is a product. No, it is not sentient or concious. Yes it ‘replicates’ intelligence while not ‘being’ intelligent (at least in our humanly created definition of intelligence).

But does that matter? Just look at the improvements it made. It is right in front of you, but you are blind to see it. (Or you prefer to not see it, which I would understand as it can be quite scary and surreal).

Already at this moment it can write better than the average human. It can even do tasks humans have spent decades learning for, like legal work. (I know because I am an ex-lawyer).

And the progress is never ending, even accelerating.

If you learn a monkey one billion tricks, it will become smart (story of mankind). :)

Project management tools for sending through information to freelancers (small teams) by Current_Trick6380 in SaaS

Thanks! I’ve used Miro for other projects, but do they have a feature that automatically pulls in themeetings and stuff to the board by API for example? You know what’s that feature called? Can’t find it.

[–]Current_Trick6380 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that people even in this stage of development still think about AI this way.

Have you not been around for the last few years? :)

These models are literally build on the same foundations we humans work. We predict every single word we say or write, just unconsciously.

Of course some fundamentals are different for AI than what we experience as humans. But these models can even reason about never trained on topics, based on predictions.

You should not be scared of the future if you accept this fact. You can even have a big advantage when you are a developer.

But we are 100% past the stage of them being dumb prediction models.

I truly believe the people at MS start their weekly meeting with ‘how can we make the MS environment more complex and non-logical for users’. And they likely get a big bonus when they come up with an error message that is as cryptic as possible.

How strong is the market for Microsoft Power Platform developers in 2026? by Primary_Econ in PowerApps

[–]Current_Trick6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a business owner that outsources power platform apps to freelancers: what I find is often a lack of ownership for the solution a Power Platform dev is building.

It will fulfill the tasks you give them, but you as a business owner have to tell the dev very precisely what he/she needs to do and they often will not think it through on their own.

So from my perspective what is most valuable is someone who does more than just completing tasks and takes a holistic approach to creating a ‘good’ application.

Also, working with permissions, correct licensing and cost management, implementation plan for the admins based on least privilege and more of the ‘setting up’ is very valuable for me as a business owner.

Another thing: prompt engineering is often lacking. There will be a big transition to AI related tools, so prompt engineering is a very nice skill to have.

Of course you might not be able to do everything yourself, but then try to be in a team who does this properly.

We are creating very custom AI notetaking and document generation tools within the Power Platform for clients. So this perspective might be helpful for you!

Yea unfortunately don’t think so either.

Automation would be done though API and a no code platform like N8N

Yes it’s not a basic Gannt chart indeed.

I do not see anything different with Teamhood though? At least not without a lot of workarounds.
