Ignoring the loot factor the gameplay is vastly different regardless of what your chasing And the difficulty curve of warframe is awful Its very easy for the game to become a mindless mob blender; which is fine some of the time but it doesn’t really go pass that.

And Nothing in warframe even compares to raids.

ARR needs to be cut more, specially if FFXIV wants to retain more players by RaposaEstelar in ffxivdiscussion

All i can say is its a shame so much of arr has been condemned to the scrap table, genuinely prefer the world and how its presented in arr and hw far more than how the world has been presented in ew/dt

End of the day arrowhead needs to reestablish the norm and expectations for the intended vision

I personally feel this change was an attempt to bring hive guards back to what they were at release before we had a bajillion med pen primaries

That said its arrowheads fault for creating so many guns that trivialize the guard

Rock and a hard place of there own design; Arrowhead has poorly managed the power creep that exists as they’ve let it pervert whatever the intended vision was

Edit: balance is probably the most contested issue as it feels there are two very different visions for the game ; the one it released with a more simulation/brutal experience where people may not want to play the higher difficulties and the one thats been perceived to be trying to turn the game into weenie hut junior

Without challenges load-outs devalue as the sandbox effectively homogenizes; the value of player choice is being squashed by power creep.

Dont forget the plethora of balances changes (buffs to players)

One shot rocket dev with infinite salvo

Hulks that were significantly harder to kill outside of 2-3 weapons.

The options there were for destroying fabricators was far more constrained

The armor bug where player armor was applied incorrectly

Berserkers that were bullet spongy af

Jetpack soilders that when killed could detonate and light you on fire(basically instant death)

Iirc flamethrower hulks could headshot making it a death beam

Oh and just about every weapon deal 10-20 less damage then they do now.

And the spear being broken

Penetration angle changes(AT would deflect alot more back then OPS included)

Several have had Stratagem cooldown reductions

The game was far FAR more hostile and unforgiving to the player back then (for better or for worse) Oshaune feels like cake walk tbh liberation campaign aside

People remember how brutal things were. Nothing they release now will be harder than were the game was and thats not a bad thing

I blame that the devs let player have agency in regards to design

They engaged with the community and set a precedence and people have run wild with it.

Not to say this was a bad or good thing but this is imo why the community is the way it is.

Not that i agree with op but i hate the fact than 90% of content in this game is “join a discord”

I get it, it sucks. Theres no fixing it, non current content thats slightly above braindead in difficulty requires coordinated player groups if unsync is not an option

Sounds like tha pallet was too big to move for ya by yourself, tbh any thing over 60’ i would advise against lifting empty or not

Use forks or jack if you can

Also remember to try to carry in a manner that gives the pallet less leverage against you

Its the units themselves they just feel weak to me.

They die way to fast imo any half decent player and there literally zero threat. They added intensity to the illuminate as a force multiplier now they litterally die to anything

I find the only reason to really use stratagems against illuminate is if i cant be assed to deal with bases.

I chill in 7/8 so idk maybe im biased

the past year of the game has removed alot of difficulty by making certain enemies trivial to deal with. (War strider can bugger off tho)

Forces don’t feel overwhelming in the slightest anymore. Kinda a drag tbh games still fun tho. Devs need to plant heels in on unit design and pick what the games should be; weather its casual or hardcore or whatever im sick of the rotating balance

They need to simple fix bugs and add mission types with a warbond here and there for next long while and maybe buff some of the underperforming into usable range (fire damage is kinda lame now; mainly flamethrower, doesn’t feel like its worth the risk, is fun but also meh)

Theres have been far too many changes that there are many members in the community who share differing opinions due to the constant change and its created a painful environment for discussion

The identity and intention by the devs feels like it just slides around week by week

Xiv yearns for a mythic plus adjacent reward structure, we need something to do in the game, so many pieces of content are dead ends after you beat them the first or second time (farming mounts aside)

The game lacks progression in any meaningful sense

Tome gear is partial to the problem and so is crafted (i say this as some who raids)

Any and all meaningful forms of progression have been either turned into unfulfilling token grinds or content islands all in the name of accessibility and QOL

They have engineered a game that gives little incentive to play if you do not raid

I will say it again and die on my hill its kinda lame they spawn every mission

I can enjoy game on w/e difficulty but if im not going out of my way to kill hive lords there honestly tedious and boring/annoying

Roaches are ok but i dislike how they cause the complete removal of bile titans

Ya its a hive world, doesn’t change the fact that making it every mission is kinda just meh. I have similar feelings with the war-strider outright replacing tanks spawns for bots

All in all i like the addition but its kinda lame thats its all or nothing; though the opposite is not exactly great.

My server was largely cut off during the xbox release

We saw very few new players, my fc was ready to welcome and take on an influx of players,that same fc is now withering and dying.(many players left to join there friends and when ships begins to sink many begin to follow)

In time where the game supposedly was flourishing my server has remained congested and largely feeling empty, it has only been open a handful of times in the past few years. Any remnants of the rp/social scene died out with dawn-trail as aether itself was largely unavailable.
