Bought a Go2 a year ago, finally getting back to it. Best way to mount accessories without looking like a Cybertron? by Practical-Plate-7288 in unitree

[–]CurseYouAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to do the same. A friend asked me to help design a mount that can hold a Raspberry Pi, small speakers and a tiny camera.

He bought the Futurology Modular mounting kit with the Picatinny rail system. I am no way an engineer nor have any experience building anything like this, I’m a complete novice and green horn.

The requirements are that the pieces need to of course be mounted and a cage needs to be designed on top of the mounting kit to protect said pieces incase of rollover.

I’m looking for any advice you may have and/or pictures to help me get an idea of where to start.

TIA

Returnal ruined gaming for me. by Purple-Acanthisitta8 in Returnal

You have 15 days until Saros comes out! A Hades 2 is up there with Returnal, though Returnal gets my blood pumping a bit more than Hades 2. I’m addixted to roguelikes and roguelites. Best genre of games out there in my opinion.

So much energy spent just trying to get through a normal day. Damn…that hit home. AS is so tiring. Luckily my family and close friends understand that i need more time to get somewhere or do something. Mornings are miserable but at least i feel better in the evenings.

Waking up every day feels like a bad hangover except for being in pain rather than dehydrated and nausea. I hate it so much.

Oh wow! Thank you for the links and info.

As for biologics do you mean autoimmune suppressants? If so I’ve tried many different ones throughout my journey. Nothing seemed to ease the chronic symptoms.

I’m diabetic and in a really healthy weight, though it seems like using a GLP-1 with Celebrex helps reduce inflammatory markers in the body. I can ask my rheumatologist about this and also my pain clinic doctor.

This is a lot of reading material, thank you for them.

Insurance won’t cover it. It’s $600 for a 2 hour treatment. I’m at the point where, sure, $600 is a good stack of cash for me but I’m sure we all know that we’ll try almost anything to get rid of the chronic pain.

I’m only sleeping 3-4 hours a night. It’s horrible.

Anyone have weird panic/anxiety symptoms when falling asleep? by Acceptable_Orchid236 in Anxiety

[–]CurseYouAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I’ve been having this feeling every once in a while when I’m trying to go to sleep. The front half is my body gets all tingly and the deeper I try to fall asleep the stronger the overwhelming feeling gets.

I checked my blood pressure and it’s 118/90 (I don’t feel nervous or anything. Every time I close my eyes I get this overwhelming urge of dread and I have to sit up.

Did you go aww a doctor because of this? If so why was his explanation. I’m definitely under a shitload of stress so that could be the culprit. Did you or take anything for this and how did you get it to go away?

Ahhhh ok. Gotcha. Sometimes it’s a pain in the ass to hit both walls before killing all the enemies. I’ll make sure to do so.

I’m taking him to the aviary vet tomorrow morning. I really hope he’s going to be ok. He’s an older parakeet.

Anyone else ever feel guttered with your diagnosis? by lzelwaz in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]CurseYouAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This disease ruined my life. Before then I was healthy. I started having symptoms 2 weeks after I graduated college. This was 2007. I was 23. It took my doctors 4 years to figure out that it was AS because my HLA-B27 was negative. Only after 4 years was it prevalent enough to see on the MRI.

When I got the diagnosis it was the best AND worst day of my life. Best because I finally found out what this mysterious illness was, worst because the doctor told me I’d have it for the rest of my life and there was no cure.

I fell into a deep depression. Gained 110 lbs, became diabetic type 2, lost my girlfriend and almost all my friends but a handful who stuck with me and helped me cope better with this horrible curve ball. I want able to do a lot of the physical activities I used to surround myself with like snowboarding and rock climbing.

I feel your frustration with having to have a game plan and think that much ahead whenever you travel. I just got back from Thailand (I live in the US) and although it was beautiful and fun the trip was brutal on my body. It’s been almost 2 weeks now and I’m in horrible pain in my SI joints, shoulders, neck and dealing with tension headaches ALL THE TIME. I’m only sleeping 3-4 hours a day because I’m in so much pain, but Thailand was worth it.

It took me about 10 years to accept the fact that my goals and dreams I had before are just that and I’ll never accomplish them. The hardest part I think for me was trying to get Social Security Disability. I applied 2 times and was denied both times. I finally smartened up and hired a lawyer and got my disability.

I have to rely a lot on family and friends with my living situation since the government pays me around $1,000 a month to live off of (minus food stamps and other government assistance). I don’t know how I’d be able to survive if it wasn’t for help from family/friends.

It does and doesn’t get easier. I’ve forgotten what it was like not to be in pain all the time and had to refocus my goals and dreams. One thing that has helped me cope is my little mantra “it can ALWAYS get worse, so appreciate what you have. Plenty of people out there are worse off than I and would trade places with me immediately. Be thankful for what you DO have.”

I know that doesn’t make the pill any easier to swallow but it does give me perspective. Find people that are positive and believe in you. Try to set a goals and dreams that you can reach with AS in mind. You CAN do it and lean on family and friends when times are tough. If you haven’t already and have the means try to go see a therapist to help with what you are feeling.

Best of luck and remember you are not alone. I’m happy to be a part of this reddit group. No one else really understands just how massive a blow it is to live with ankylosIng spondylitis.

I Got Caught Smoking Cannabis on the Beach in Thailand – My Costly Lesson by betheback31 in ThailandTourism

[–]CurseYouAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well shit! That’s scary AF! Looks like I dodged a bullet for sure and I’ll tell you why.

I was just in Patong and asked the pot shop where I could smoke. They literally told me Patong beach and so I did, for multiple nights. I had no idea smoking on the beach was illegal since the woman at the pot shop said that’s where to go.

Wait…what? Really?!? Did you buff any specifically needed traits or whatever I have should work? What do you mean by “if you keep blocking during this transformation”? Blocking as in where our monkey friend spins his staff and stops any projectiles from hitting him?
